The fear isn’t that AI will replace developers.
The fear is that AI will replace the software development process we’re used to.
Code is becoming cheap.
Decisions are becoming expensive.
AI can write functions all day, but it can’t decide what should be built, how it fits the system, or why it solves the problem. That part still sits with people who understand architecture, trade-offs, constraints, and consequences.
The shift is simple:
Developers who only implement tasks will struggle.
Developers who understand the product, the domain, and the system will thrive.
AI reduces typing, not thinking. It accelerates engineers who treat code as leverage, not output. It exposes shallow understanding and rewards clarity, reasoning, and ownership.
Small teams will ship things that once required entire departments.
The bar moves from writing code to shaping it.
AI won’t replace developers.
But it will replace developers who don’t grow beyond writing code.
And if this transition feels uncomfortable, that’s normal. Every major shift starts that way. What matters now isn’t fear, it’s staying curious, learning fast, and leaning into the parts of engineering that AI can’t automate.
The future of Software Engineering isn't syntax, but what was always the real work: turning ambiguity into clarity, designing context that makes good outcomes inevitable, and judging what truly matters.

As part of the UAE’s long-term plans to prepare future generations for a different future, a new world, and advanced skills, the UAE government today approved the final curriculum to introduce “Artificial Intelligence” as a subject across all stages of government education in the UAE, from kindergarten to grade 12, starting from the next academic year.
We appreciate the efforts of the Ministry of Education in developing a comprehensive curriculum, affirming that artificial intelligence will transform the way the world lives. Our goal is to teach our children a deep understanding of AI from a technical perspective, while also fostering their awareness of the ethics of this new technology, enhancing their understanding of its data, algorithms, applications, risks, and its connection to society and life.
Our responsibility is to equip our children for a time unlike ours, with conditions different from ours, and with new skills and capabilities that ensure the continued momentum of development and progress in our nation for decades to come.
After careful consideration and hearing the feedback from our fans whilst fully respecting their concerns, our show in Istanbul will be now postponed until 2026 so we can ensure DBL Entertainment will not be involved.
Thank you for your ongoing support, it means everything to us. See you in 2026!
We're onto Day 3 of CES 2025, and it's clear there's been a vibe shift.
The future is officially here.

Elon Musk open-sourced all of Tesla's patents for other car companies to copy.
Wall Street called it 'dumb' and thought Tesla will be crushed.
Elon was right. Everyone was wrong.
Every entrepreneur needs to understand why he did it and why it worked:🧵
Last weekend, I attended Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway Annual Meeting in Omaha.
It was an incredible experience.
