I tried to be chill, but Acemoglu’s false statement reminded me too much of the gaslighting I had to deal with to publish my comment
Acemoglu et al don’t respond directly to criticisms, and often make up demonstrably false claims to defend themselves, with no accountability
@thsottiaux You should just intelligently disappear from here until you have anything honest to say about exploiting your USD 200 subscribers if there will be any by that time.
@thsottiaux This is an easy way to divert the question to an entirely new track. I am not saying it is not a wise diversion. Alas, from a top-of-the-world tech giant, you cannot hide behind diversion. Transparency, please: is the complaint of the subscribers legit or not? If not, explain.
Anyway, these silly timing whispers to publish something new are more than annoying. Are you aware of the time zones around the world? What day? Here it is 9:22 in the morning, compared to 0:23 on the US West Coast this morning. I love Codex, but without clarification on token use, this will not be an eternal love. Yes, we learnt from you that a Codex token is worth 100 times more than a 200 USD chip at Caesar’s Palace.
Funny. I will try it once my usage quota resets again. I am getting back the feelings I lost for Claude and will give Grok a try because I cannot afford Codex at 200 USD for 2 days of weekly usage, even if I want to work 5 days a week. I am not even a dev guy, only an econ researcher.
@thsottiaux I have a long workflow for scientific reserach that found a serious coding issue and a lack of a robustness check. It was perfect, but now I have to wait until 20 August for my next round of tokens. Do not misunderstand me, I do not ask for a reset, however....
