Special? I'm just your average schmuck from the Houston suburbs. News media made it sound like the crime rate was bad so now my wife, two dogs, and I moved.
Oh, and the $700 housing? That's what my mortgage is if I want to pay interest for 30 years. I pay about $1100 a month so I get it paid off in 12 years. I'm not one of those guys who is trying to make bankers rich like some. I don't have one of those huge houses, I only have a 3br, 2bath homes but the kids are grown and out, half the grand kids are grown and out. The great grand kids will be along in the next 10 years I assume.
They were made up numbers. I used numbers a bit higher than they actully are as I assumed you'd never believe the real numbers. You only want to believe numbers so high that no one could live... they're not nearly that high... those are the numbers that chinese bots put on here to scare the living daylights out of normal people. Not true.
Nope. As a matter of fact I called the nice apartments I lived in back from '09 to '15 and a one bedroom apartment was $950 and less if they have a $250 off deal. $1 lunch? Heck, A 1# loaf of bread is $0.45 and makes about 8 sandwiches. I only eat 3 for lunch. IF I made them all peanut butter/jelly - 2oz peanut better $0.17, Jelly $0.34, bread $0.17 = $0.68 Not one dollar but 68 cents for 3 sandwiches. If I were poor, do you think I would spend money at a restaurant? LOL. Coffee? 1 - 16oz cup of coffee uses 17.6oz of water, 1.6 stays with the grounds and the 16oz comes into the cup. That's free unless you want me to figure out the water filter usage which is 1/24000 of 1 black berkey filter. The coffee grounds are 10.6 grams or $0.11 for 16oz of coffee. I did get the coffee on sale at Walmart. It was Maxwell house coffee. I found that I like about .02114 grams of water to 1 gram of coffee grounds. Actually I worked for a while to get the strength where my wife loved it and that's it. 19.5 cents for 16 ounces of coffee with 5 grams of sucralose(splenda) in mine. thankyou. As you can see, these are real numbers.
No they won't. This is a nice area and most of the people won't allow their businesses to be destroyed by gangs. The shotguns will come out and protect themselves from these gangs. This is Texas and we have "stand your ground" laws. We don't have to allow a thug to burn our place down.
Average Americans don't pay income taxes. The payors of income taxes are the top 49% of earners. The only income taxes everyone pays is the taxes that are charged to corporations who then add them to the cost of their products. You dont think that Proctor and Gamble don't charge you their property taxes, income taxes, and ss taxes? Only 3 entities pay those taxes - the employees, the customers, the stock holders. The grandma's who were teachers have a strong union and they don't want their pension funds to pay those taxes, the employees don't want to pay those taxes as they don't get any benefits. Only you, the customer get any benefit...and you don't see the amount on your Walmart receipt. Same goes for everything you buy. In Canada they do charge the grandmas pension funds, they don't care what grandma or the unions think. I own a Canadian stock, Popeyes, and pay a 15% tax on dividends. I just might sell it and buy SPCX this next Friday with my savings.
This is what all states have needed for a very long time. It's the far left that tries to destroy everything. I saw it in action when I, a (R), went to see our governor speak (D) in 1971 at the U. of Houston. Some thugs, adults and kids from T.S.U. down the street chased him off the stage with one waving a broom at him. DPS did nothing. Why they did it mattered little, my right to hear my governor was taken away... and the leader of this mob was elected to the house, one Mickey Leland.

@TheUnassisted@RossKneeDeep Have you ever called his office and asked what his stance was on anything, considered the response you got, saw him in action? He's your normal spend your 8 hours come home and watch TV.
First off, democracy was a fringe idea that nobody of any status even considered. The founding fathers certainly didn't like it, that's why they gave us a Constitutional Republic, as Franklin was asked whether the government they gave us was a government of the smartest people like we have with a Republic, or a tyranny such as a monarchy. The outliers, Marxists before there was such a term, have been around forever and they started pushing for a government of the average person, like a government of the kids in your 5th grade class, some smart, a lot really stupid, some wanting to ban work, others wanting to reward studying. Woodrow Wilson was the first president to use the term "democracy" in a state of the Union address but many people think he was after not a democracy but an administrative staff running the government, a team of "experts." The question was, who get's to choose the "experts?" I would volunteer. Administrative is now called "deep state."
Women should vote using the same standards as men. Of course there are a lot of very dumb women but the men? Men make up the extremes - the smartest AND the dumbest. Let them vote based on whether they have skin in the game. You own a 1000 ^ft+ lot, you can vote. (Oh, that means 1000 square feet or larger lot for those not voting).
@TheUnassisted@RossKneeDeep Dan Patrick is your normal worker. Does the least required of him, goes home and watches TV...nothing heroic about his workday.
This is the reason that America has never had a democracy and in the early days, most states banned non property owners from voting as they had no skin in the game. Some men blamed stupid women but truth was it was stupid people and property ownership was a great separation point. If a person voted to protect his property then he mostly voted against the government stealing his property and giving it to someone else.
we also banned gambling, even among those over 21 because men would spend the families money in games of chance, and lose - leaving the family homeless or transportationless because he didn't understand the odds of him winning, he never finished third grade and thought that if he just played one more game he would win it all back again.
@DaOGTriple@MarcusRobi42459@RossKneeDeep How funny is it that Mississippi leads California in education of their children? Why are the Democrats in a race to hit bottom?
And the opposite should then be true, if you're doing nothing to consume your time, then no entity should be required to pay you anything, you then live as they did 150 years ago, on a blanket in the outdoors, with a fire. It might not be easy for you but we can use you as an example for our kids as to why they need to pay attention to dad, do their homework, and learn to work hard.
So the Romans taught everyone how to kill. Interesting. I wonder how many will end up in hell? We can only pray that Christ will be merciful to those who hate that which they don't understand. Christ is the first to shed tears over these who kill His servants in the name of Satan.
Christianity began with Jesus Christ and His apostles. His was the Christian catholic church of which the Roman Catholic church was one denomination of His church. His church is not a building, it's His people who do what Jesus said His church would do 1)Faith in Jesus as the Messiah, the Son of the living God (Matt 16:16-18) 2)Being "born again" (spiritual rebirth) to enter the kingdom of God (John 3:3,5) 3) Following Jesus, obeying His commands, and making more disciples (Matt 28:18-20). There are many who belong to His church who are not Roman Catholics. Those who say differently are calling Christ a liar. He knows His church and there are members from all of times, in all of places, and of most denominations as long as they repent, and accept Jesus as Lord and Savior.
