@PeterMoskos The proposed plan is so inefficient, and not backed by any serious economist as a solution to the supposed "problem" of food deserts, so, what's the true motive?
Hard to take the administration seriously when they run on MAGA levels of economic illiteracy.
@jaymart222 I like how the most important part - "We'll just build a temporary road around the cantilever for ten years" - is just barely mentioned off hand. The tunnel is the best fix for this, but it'll never happen.
@Gothamist Trying to understand what the true impetus for this (costly) plan is, because if you wanted to help those in perceived food deserts, direct payments is the clear most efficient way.
No serious economists support these stores; so, what's the true motive? Incompetence, or grift?
@Ramonmaislen Almost all of this stuff they're fluffing him over has been in the works for years over many prior administrations.
Mamdani is very Trump like in his economic illiteracy and his base being a cult.
@JeffMightBWrong It's a theatre troupe; he's the lead performer. They haven't really been paying attention before, so they clap for his performance as though it's all brand new.
