FGN Advances $5.7bn China Investment Talks to Power Industrial Growth
The Honourable Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Wale Edun, received a high-level delegation from GCL Group in Abuja, led by Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, as Nigeria moves to secure up to $5.7bn in strategic investments across power, mining and industrial manufacturing.
The proposals include large-scale energy generation, local mineral processing and new factories aimed at boosting jobs, exports and value addition. Backed by reforms under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the engagement reflects rising investor confidence and supports Nigeria’s shift from raw exports to domestic production. Strengthening energy security, industrial capacity and long-term economic growth.
@SamuelOmogor But every single Nigerian who attains that position would do the same and more. Our complaints about unwholesome acquisition of wealth at public expense is loudest when we are far removed from the largesse. The closer we get to it, the quieter and more complicit we become.
Two days ago, I transmitted the name of General Christopher G. Musa, our immediate past Chief of Defence Staff and a fine gentleman, to the Nigerian Senate for confirmation as the Federal Minister of Defence.
I want to commend the Nigerian Senate for its expedited confirmation of General Musa yesterday. His appointment comes at a critical juncture in our lives as a Nation.
God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

@NICKIMINAJ Misguided and misinformed from the white house to dance hall floor. Nigeria's security challenge is deeper than the religious wedge that foreigners and complicit Nigerians, wish to foist on us. This is not helpful but woeful.
Appointing the NSA as mediator makes it clear President Tinubu no longer views the Dangote–PENGASSAN clash as a labour spat but a national security issue.🤏
Ribadu is not a labour negotiator,❌
... and his entry is a heavy blow to PENGASSAN leaders who had counted on the old playbook 😆
delay, spin optics, and cash out on kickbacks.
