Today I learned paypal will tell a website where you live if asked. Why? Paypal uses your home address as your billing address, *even if your payment method does not*. This negates the benefit of paypal. I’m flabbergasted. Enraged.

@GreenPea123 I thought the web page only used an address if you entered card details, not so. And even though I did not complete the checkout process, it appeared on my credit card statement (a 1 cent charge from Paypal to make the transaction work).

@GreenPea123 Yeah, I discovered this while going through a checkout for a free game guide. The seller wanted a billing address and paypal does not acknowledge the use of a PO Box for a billing address even tho my card is tied to one.
