@BaxterWilliams_ And….How dare they claim a monopoly on objective goodness when their system of Jesus—Paul—Church is clearly arbitrary, subjective, interpreted, archaic, partisan, patriarchal, cherry picked, evolving. Oh—I forgot—they often look just like the wicked that never face consequence.
@dccommonsense What if they aren’t shortsighted? What if they will try to prevent the other side at all costs from achieving power? That’s what concerns me a little. There is precedent for that kind of behavior. Also, it’s not clear that the other side wants to wield power at that level.

@AndrewRillera@DennyBurk I’m an atheist but I grew up around Christianity, reading the Bible. Isn’t a simple answer: both views of atonement (amongst many others) exist at the same time? The Bible shimmers with perspectives, and aren’t different denominational perspectives the result of it?
