@dccommonsense What if they aren’t shortsighted? What if they will try to prevent the other side at all costs from achieving power? That’s what concerns me a little. There is precedent for that kind of behavior. Also, it’s not clear that the other side wants to wield power at that level.

@AndrewRillera @DennyBurk I’m an atheist but I grew up around Christianity, reading the Bible. Isn’t a simple answer: both views of atonement (amongst many others) exist at the same time? The Bible shimmers with perspectives, and aren’t different denominational perspectives the result of it?
