I’m a HUGE Saquon Barkley guy. Abilities and general fandom. He has in a lot of ways proved to be a 2nd pick talent. But NOT for the Giants! Helped them to playoffs. But they didn’t have the infrastructure to draft him 2nd. The results proved it.

I’m often more pro-RB than the market. RBs went from too overvalued to too undervalued. But I don’t like the Jeremiyah Love pick and it has nothing to do with him. Are the Cardinals ready to maximize Love’s abilities? Is he the missing piece to a deep playoff run?

Huge day of hoops on ESPN. Get it started with Saint Joseph’s-Loyola (Chicago) on ESPNU. On the call with Noah Savage as the Hawks eye a double-bye in the Atlantic 10 Tournament. SJU leads 25-13.

1st half all downhill for Broncos after that failed 4th down, but could’ve been so much worse. Patriots with two chances to get into FG range and extend lead to 10-7. DEN feels lucky but also that they could easily be up 6+ if they converted 4th (or kicked) and made last kick.

Same, on all fronts. Go up two scores with your backup QB and a good matchup for your defense. Plus, the Broncos have been mediocre running while the Pats are elite stopping the run, which shrinks the calls (went PA pass).

We’re also so accustomed to seeing QB draw out of empty. In the strangest way, it’s often more obvious to the viewer than the defense. Loved the sidecar look for QB draw from Indiana. Impressive response from Miami so far!

As ELITE as Cignetti is, there are times where he’s too conservative or struggles with time management. We’ve even seen it tonight! Ultimate credit for bucking the trend and leading to an Indiana touchdown.

The play calling and refusal to run. Not passing on 3rd & 10. The time management. Super bizarre for McVay. Before today, loved Rams chances at Seahawks. But already shorter rest and played a full OT. A lot to overcome.

There’s no way the Texans just punted there, right? Hard not to love DeMeco Ryans, but that has to be one of the worst punts in NFL history. That’s not hyperbole.

Worked out, but I don’t think it’s even a question. 4 plays from the 1 with 1:05 is MUCH worse than 3 plays from the 1 with 30 secs, esp. when Bills have Josh Allen. If you can’t do it in 3 plays, don’t deserve to win. With 4 downs, Jags prob. get in FG range there more than 50%.

Fortunately, it didn’t hurt them. But the Bills have had some big 4th down misses over the years. That would’ve stung so much if they failed. And just like that, touchdown Buffalo.

That was one where it “felt” like Oregon had to punt. Love Lanning’s aggression and it’s their DNA, but regardless of the analytics, the game is telling you to make Texas Tech drive the length of the field down two scores.

And others will lose minutes and opportunities when they had no clue they would be competing with Nnaji mid-season. Beyond the obvious ridiculousness, we always overlook who suffers.

But it’s become a complete joke now because there are no rules anymore.

Ravens fans have been quite blessed, but surely it’s frustrating when same guys make same critical mistakes. Last night was all lumped into one with Henry early fumble, Andrews likely costing a FG in middle, and Flowers fumbling late. Defense also returned to pre-bye form late.

It was bad enough the Ravens had Henry on the bench the second-to-last drive. Instead of learning from that, they opened the final drive with a 5-yd loss on a swing pass to another RB, Rasheen Ali. They were on plus-side of 2-min warning with 3 timeouts. Give Henry the ball.

Collinsworth was all over this. Patriots defense was 30th in Rush EPA since week 8 and lost more guys tonight. Felt like Henry got w/e he wanted as game wore on. Barring an unreported injury, that was malpractice considering the stakes.

Derrick Henry, despite 128 rushing yards and two scores, did not touch the ball over the final two drives.
