Hey friends, FYI - I'm winding down my usage here, so look me up on other platforms. I've joined the major alternatives but it's still unclear what will ever truly replicate the community we had here. Not deleting my account here, just no longer posting. See ya around!
@urlichsanais Excited for you to be reading it for the first time! There are passages I think of often, simply for the richness and beauty of the prose.
@fabiankessler2 I'm loving it, but the Switch hardware is definitely showing its age. The load times walking into and leaving shrines are a drag. I do think BOTW is the better game, but I'm still early in TOTK.
You should watch Nerrel's review. His channel is great. https://t.co/JYsw82Exud
I'm finally putting some time into Tears of the Kingdom in the evenings, and I'm in awe. I'm eating lunch right now and thinking through one of the areas. It and Breath of the Wild are in my top 10 of all time.
@kecjohnston I have often remarked that there is somehow more joy in rebuilding than in building, more satisfaction in repairing than in the making. You're giving life to the broken and deceased. And I think that's indicative of the deeper truth.
I cherish many of Dr. Keller's sermons and books. I will cherish them all the more now that his time here is done. I pray blessings of peace and comfort on his family in Christ.
Timothy J. Keller, husband, father, grandfather, mentor, friend, pastor, and scholar died this morning at home. Dad waited until he was alone with Mom. She kissed him on the forehead and he breathed his last breath. We take comfort in some of his last words...
This is one of my favorite pieces of games journalism in years. The dedication this took is amazing. The laughs this is giving me and the head-spinning nostalgia is incredible. Thank you @HardDriveMag!
Nintendo doing a live service type game would be interesting and would connect people more to a specific game than a hardware platform. But I wouldn't expect them to simply copy Fornite or Rocket League. I trust that it would be unique. And that's why it's fun to be a fan. /end
Nintendo FY24 forecast: I think the only way they sell through 15m Switch units in FY24 is a price drop in 2H23. Switch is losing steam, and they need to save any new first-party headline titles for the Switch successor's launch. 1/9
For me, this was their signal that they've heard our cries for better online services and they're investing in digital subscriptions and game services for the long-term. Switch Online, Expansion Pack, post-release content updates and DLC—the trend is already there. 8/9
