When they say that the 4th of July is about American freedom, remember this: the freedom they’re referring to is for white people.
This land is stolen land and Black people still aren’t free.
Blowout numbers for Nithya Raman in the latest L.A. County update, adding 59,930 votes that break 38.6% Raman, 34.1% Bass, and 17.9% Pratt and shaving a massive 12,404 off his lead for second. She now trails by just 20,672 votes.
Glenn Greenwald is a very bad guy, as is any Alexander Dugin apologist.
I say he’s a bad guy because I know he’s not stupid.
He knows what he’s doing. He knows what he’s promoting. And he’s banking on his audience not knowing.
It’s very simple. Dugin
- hates the West
- hates the American constitution (and the ideals within it, more importantly)
- hates Christ and His people (the church)
- actively seeks to destroy all those things listed above, and evil men like Greenwald are foot soldiers in this effort, hoping the crocodile will eat them last
Every family is paying about $30k annually for healthcare they barely use, and that typically comes with a high deductible and out of pocket costs.
The median healthcare spend is $500 annually.
Now imagine an alternate version. Every American has a tax exempt HSA, but to participate, you must purchase at least a catastrophic insurance plan. If we allowed pre-ACA plans, we are looking at $6000-12000 per year. For the poor, instead of Medicaid or an ACA subsidy, the government just funds their HSA for them.
Now every family is putting $15k a year into an HSA. Most people would barely touch that. Maybe use some to pay for a DPC and the occasional lab or prescription. But by retirement, everyone would have $2-5 million saved up. That could pay for all lifetime medical expenses for 95% of Americans.
The only people who have to deal with insurance companies are those with catastrophic high cost events (trauma, cancer, etc). The only role government has is as a reinsurance to keep premiums low and help people with pre existing conditions get plans. Or for the truly destitute who burn through their HSA and cannot care for themselves (universal backstop coverage).
This would provide truly universal coverage, give money back to patients, simplify healthcare, and make every American richer.
So, we know that Platner, as a Democrat, is probably a filthy anti-semite. He's also a self-identified filthy communist. And for at least a while, he was a filthy Nazi.
What a guy, eh?
With all the controversy now with tipping in the USA, while I am not against tipping, I do have a question about it. Why is the amount of the tip based on the amount of the bill? In other words why should the tip be higher for a $100 steak as compared to a $15 hamburger. The server did not provide any more service for the steak as compared to the hamburger. And why would a hard working excellent server get a much lower tip in an inexpensive restaurant than a so so server in an expensive restaurant? It seems to me the more fair way would be to calculate tips based on the number of people being served at the table. The more people the more time and work the server would need to be compensated for. Just wondering.
