As a fellow controller who loves his career and country, we need some major change. I think I can speak for all controllers. We thank you for taking a hard interest in improving ATC. We need more pay across the board. 30%. We have been working hard ensuring safety is of the upmost importance while the airspace continues to grow in size and demand. The entire aviation industry including pilots, flight attendants, and mechanics have all seen major pay raises over the past few years and we have not seen a dime. We have shown up everyday, 6 days a week with no time off for family, rest, and life enjoyment. This is a high stakes job and we all love what we do, but we deserve to be compensated accordingly.
@SecDuffy@FAANews Pay us more. That's the only way to retain the highly qualified controllers already working. The staffing crisis is about to get a lot worse in a few years when many can retire . 30% raise for all is a must. Remove federal pay cap for controllers as well.
@SecDuffy@FAANews Air Traffic Controllers have no incentive to stay in the career field. Increasing the Pay for entry level trainees will only increase the number of under qualified individuals to apply. We need to Pay controllers more than a Computer IT technician.
