President Tinubu says “The Renewed Hope Agenda is working.”
That claim deserves to be tested, not by one headline statistic, but by the full record.
Here is a balanced scorecard for judging presidential performance.
Let the data decide.

THE RENEWED HOPE AGENDA IS WORKING
Fellow Nigerians,
Our economy grew by 4.43% in the second quarter of 2026, up from 4.23% in the same period last year.
Growth was recorded across agriculture, manufacturing, oil and gas, and services, which now make the largest contribution to our GDP.
In nominal terms, our GDP reached ₦119.27 trillion, up 18.43% from ₦100.7 trillion in the same period last year.
These numbers matter because they show where our economy is going after three years of difficult but necessary reforms.
@VikyInsights Women would find every way to prevent other women from taking accountability. Which of these women is a child?
Dat aside, d pastor let dem know explicitly dat they were on the wrong path but they pushed back and said men dey. They had closed minds and could not be taught.
"Success is peace of mind, which is a direct result of self-satisfaction in knowing you made the effort to become the best of which you are capable."
— John Wooden
@UnkleAyo We sang songs like "bata e adun ko-ko-ka" in primary school in Lagos while on assembly. We learnt that there was dignity in labour. Tinubu came and said people will labour till they die. Now he has made beggers of people of the south west. Use your vote to protect ur dignity.
@provide20823743@ChuksEricE He will definitely see the results of his foolishness right now as he grows older. Experience will teach him a brutal lesson. Most men see women with rose colored glasses at this age. They eventually understand the nature of a woman, especially those with murky past, much later.
"My very good friend, Mr. Peter Obi, the master of bogus statistics and incoherent economic prescriptions. I respect Peter Obi, but he has gone beyond his mastery of philosophy to make bogus claims about winning the 2023 presidential election without a shred of evidence to buttress his assertion. This is called delusion of grandeur" — Vice President Kashim Shettima
@Obianuju2721931 Too many women always complain about any load they bear in any type of relationship. It appears they have d expectation that they should bear little or no responsibilities in the relationship. This attitude relates to elements of narcissistic tendencies.
Be careful what u marry!
@OurFavOnlineDoc This is what I call the epidemic of stupidity amongst Nigerian women. The entitlement to someone else's money is mind boggling. Your job is to find someone who has spent their past preparing to be a wife. If ypu cannot verify a woman's past do not marry her. E get why!
@EmmyPromise71 The stupidity you guys exhibit is amazing.
Since when is a son praising his father a criteria for re-election or good governance.
A man is assumed to be wise until he speaks.
Consider being quiet so no one knows how foolish you are.
In 2007, Daily Sun reported that Anambra State Governor Peter Obi had blocked pension payments to former governor Chinwoke Mbadinuju, who had left office in 2003 with more than ₦1 billion in unpaid pensions.
Unnamed sources told the newspaper that Mbadinuju had left behind 16 months of unpaid pensions and once described protesting pensioners as “dead woods.”
Obi reportedly said he found it difficult to approve Mbadinuju’s pension while the state was still struggling to clear the backlog of unpaid pensions he had inherited.
Daily Sun reported, “Obi said that he could not approve Mbadinuju's pension in good conscience as ₦1.7 billion duly paid to the state by the Federal Government was missing and was still being investigated.”
The governor’s spokesperson, Valentine Obienyem, did not confirm the report. However, when asked for his thoughts, he said, “It will become a good lesson to those that govern states that sooner or later, our actions and omissions will haunt us.”
@instablog9ja Giving 100k pupils ₦20k each may ease immediate hardship, but education policy can't stop at cash support.
Nigeria needs systemic reform: teacher quality, school infrastructure, learning materials, safety, measurable outcomes and accountability.
Support helps. Systems transform.
@instablog9ja@alexottiofr used 1 term to do so much work that he does not need to campaign. @officialABAT has used 1 term to ensure you know too well he has no plan. Now he wants to convince you to vote and is now showing you plans instead of showing you that without doubt that he worked.
This government removed subsidies on petroleum and power, yet they borrowed more than under the previous administration that retained them.
It’s time to put national interest above selfish interests. Let us build a prosperous Nigeria that our future generations will be proud of.
