BREAKING: Net credit balances fell -$70 billion in June, to a record -$1.06 trillion.
This metric tracks how much margin debt investors carry relative to the cash in their brokerage accounts.
Since the 2022 bear market, this figure has more than quadrupled.
This comes as margin debt has surged +$895 billion over this period, to a record $1.50 trillion.
By comparison, throughout the 2008 Financial Crisis, the net credit balance remained positive, meaning investors held more cash than margin debt amid widespread deleveraging and a flight to safety.
Investor risk appetite is at unprecedented levels.
BREAKING: The Trump administration gave a Vatican envoy "a bitter lecture warning that the United States has the military power to do whatever it wants—and that the Church had better take its side," per the Atlantic
BREAKING: A massive line of US Air Force C-17 transport aircraft is currently crossing the Atlantic toward the Middle East, alongside KC-135 refueling tankers. A second wave is already over Europe heading for the eastern Mediterranean. C-17s carry troops, armored vehicles and heavy equipment. This is the largest visible airlift movement since the war began.
The Doomsday Plane landed at Andrews tonight for a reason. This may be it.
With Venezuela primed for an oil boom, the workers who fled decades of repression and economic collapse are now the ideal candidates to help revive the industry. But many won't go. https://t.co/eZEhB3auZL
“Let me get this straight: We go to a country, we capture their leader, we bomb it, & then we say we run this country now — and that's not war. But when they send cocaine over here, that people are willingly snorting — that is war. That doesn't make any sense.”
Unbelievable. After months of propaganda claiming Maduro is the head of the dangerous drug-smuggling cartel, the US government has admitted it was all a ruse in order to kidnap a sitting head of state.
The Justice Dept is legally recognizing that Cartel de los Soles doesn't exist so the entire pretext for the military aggression against Venezuela & the Caribbean murders falls apart. https://t.co/iE3kPQsknc
Imagine being the Prime Minister of Denmark saying in October 2025:
"There is only one country that is ready to threaten us, and that is Russia"
Then in January 2026 she is saying:
"I strongly urge the United States to stop making threats against a close ally"
😂😂😂😂😂
President Trump ticked off a list of reasons for his decision to capture and arrest Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro. One thing that wasn’t mentioned: a desire to restore democracy in Venezuela. https://t.co/3TNlp9c6IV

Recent comments made by President Donald J. Trump dismissing Venezuelan opposition leader María Corina Machado as the person to replace Nicolás Maduro, stating that she doesn’t have the “support or respect” needed to become the President of Venezuela, stemmed from her recent decision to accept the Nobel Peace Prize, an award that had been publicly craved by President Trump.
Two people close to the White House told the Washington Post that Machado’s acceptance of the prize was an “ultimate sin” to President Trump, despite her having dedicated the award to Trump and time against having complimented his work towards Venezuela. “If she had turned it down and said, ‘I can’t accept it because it’s Donald Trump’s,’ she’d be the president of Venezuela today.”
The death toll from Saturday’s U.S. military operation in Venezuela’s capital of Caracas has risen to 80, including both civilians and security forces, according to a senior Venezuelan official who spoke to the NYT.
