We remember the seven astronauts aboard: Rick Husband, William McCool, Michael Anderson, Ilan Ramon, Kalpana Chawla, Laurel Clark and David Brown, and honor their contributions to space exploration.

Ronald Reagan spoke these words to the Nation in an address delivered 40 years ago today. That morning a tragic accident took the lives of the seven astronauts aboard Challenger.
