How I found this is very meta. Asked Claude chat first, it pointed me to the workaround but couldn't do it. So I used Claude Code CLI, which found the file, flipped the flag, and then I had it create a reusable skill for next time.

TIL you can unarchive Claude Desktop Cowork sessions that you accidentally archived

Session data is in JSON files under:
~/Library/Application Support/Claude/local-agent-mode-sessions/

Each local_*.json has "isArchived": true. Flip it to false, quit and reopen Claude Desktop.

It searches your sessions, shows archived ones by title, and lets you pick which to restore.
