The difference between me and a lot of people is that they are bothered by the opinions of people they don't agree with.
I miss the days where you could fundamentally disagree on something but still respect and enjoy conversation with them, often being enlightened by their different perspective and unique set of data and anecdotes. You didn't need to change your position to understand theirs, but there was always a shift to a more nuanced understanding, because you were willing to peer through someone else's perspective for a moment.
The vast majority of media and our current leadership don't want this divide to be bridged, and if you ask yourself why you won't find an answer that benefits regular people.
@DaneFreshie@_whitneywebb Agreed. COI aren't always bad when disclosed. If something is better, it shouldn't be penalized just because it's not arms length. Merit is merit, but transparency is the foundation for trust.
@decoyposts Animal fats are fine, it's the vegetable oil, specifically seed oils that are poison. Avocado and olive oil are ok, but the rest get worse by degrees.
What I want to know is, who bought this crypto from FTX at 2022 prices? We've seen so much inflow into crypto in the last month or two yet prices aren't responding like I would have expected. Did BlackRock et al cut a deal to buy all this and then will sell it to their funds at the current price? How else would they reclaim $118% of their value?
Neil deGrasse Tyson is the shining example of a captured Scientific Community.
Scientists who cannot think for themselves & urge blind faith to "experts" are not scientists - they are propagandists.
If I was running any of the largest fund companies, I'd buy the company that owns @60Minutes and air an interview that spooks crypto holders into a sell off so that I could buy Bitcoin cheaper.
TOTALLY hypothetical, but geez wouldn't that be an easy move?

@OMGTheWhyFiles here's a mystery for you. Our deck only has 48 cards π€
It seems we're missing 4 AJ's (I suspect Hecklefish), one government cover-up (seems like there should be more than four of those), and one possessed artifact.
It definitely added some temporary mystery and confusion. On point for the The Why Files brand ππ«£
@SMQKEDQG I wonder if Terra/LUNA being hugely adopted by South Korea, and it subsequent fall has any connection to all this π€
Still wondering who might have orchestrated that. They'd need to have had a $900MM bag(s).
