George Gascón has failed us.
As a violent crimes prosecutor, I’ve put a cop killer, serial rapists and members of MS-13 behind bars. Now I’m running for L.A. District Attorney to turn the tide on violent crime.
Interesting stats from the Cato Institute.
“ICE is not primarily detaining people who are public safety threats,” said David Bier, director of immigration studies at the Cato Institute, a libertarian think tank. “Serious violent offenders are a very small minority, just 7% of the people that it’s taking into custody.”

The fires hit Los Angeles hard, devastating the Palisades. During this crisis, Angelenos were largely without political leadership. The exception in the City of Los Angeles was Councilwoman Traci Park, who stood with us throughout the ordeal. She collaborated with Governor Newsom to secure an executive order that removed obstacles imposed by LA City bureaucrats, which seemed to come straight from a Franz Kafka novel. Thank you, Traci Park, for your incredible leadership and the daily work you do for all Angelenos.

"One message from California voters couldn’t have been more clear: They’re fed up with toothpaste and bandages being locked up behind glass doors on store shelves as shopkeepers try to protect their merchandise from petty thieves. Voters shouted that they want the thieves locked up, not the aftershave."

Cleaning up MacArthur Park is not impossible. It requires a concerted effort to remove MS-13 and 18th Street and restore the park as a public space for all Angelenos.

Some personal news... After more than 26 years at the @latimes, tomorrow is my last day working with all the brilliant journalists here. My next stop -- starting next week -- is @propublica and the brilliant journalists there.
Today, I want to express my sincere gratitude to each and every one of you who supported our campaign. Although the results did not turn out as we hoped, our commitment to justice, public safety and sustainable reform remains unwavering.
This campaign was a journey that underscored the importance of our shared values and the work that still needs to be done in our communities. I am proud of what we have accomplished together, and I encourage everyone to continue advocating for the causes we believe in. Thank you for your support, your energy, and your belief in a better future for all.
Voting is not just a right; it's a responsibility. In this election, let's prioritize public safety, justice, and accountability. Your vote will shape the future of Los Angeles. Make it count. 🗳️

As your D.A., I’ll never put politics ahead of public safety. Sadly, this is just the latest in the near-daily reminders that voters must vote George Gascón out of office.
(4/4)
No matter how many times this happens, Gascón continues making politically motivated prosecutions where he puts ideology ahead of evidence, and his personal preferences ahead of the law, leading to a staggering number of defeats in the courtroom.
(2/4)
This ideology-driven incompetence doesn’t just cost taxpayers money - it also diverts valuable personnel away from taking on important cases to put violent criminals behind bars and keep our community safe - instead sending them on wild goose chases that can’t be won.

The Kevin Honea case is yet another example: George Gascón continues to lose in court. It turns out having a D.A. who has never argued a case in court in his life was a bad idea.
