Despite the enormous challenges of implementing the proposed disarmament of Hamas in Gaza, the fact that the group has even agreed in principle to a gradual, partial process carries major implications. It undercuts years of rhetoric from parts of the “pro‑Palestine” industrial complex that celebrated or excused Hamas and tried to frame its violence as an organic resistance response to 1948, Nakba, occupation, or blockade. A Hamas that accepts disarmament is effectively admitting that almost forty years of armed struggle failed to defeat Israel, failed to erase the Jewish state, and inflicted catastrophic damage on the Palestinian national project. Had Hamas never bothered with its suicidal nihilism, Palestinians might well have had a functioning state by now.
Before the Jihadi fascistic organization that so many Western “pro-Palestine” imbeciles have been quick to celebrate, the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) came to the realization that armed resistance was not only useless and futile, but it had fundamentally failed to deliver any strategic gains for the Palestinian people, such as freedom, self-rule, and a pathway to statehood. Regardless of what went wrong with Oslo later on, the PLO and Fatah realized what Hamas would eventually come to acknowledge decades later: armed resistance will not work; the two-state solution is the only viable option; and a political process is supremely preferable to alignment with the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Muslim Brotherhood.
Hamas ultimately devastated Gaza, looted its resources, halted its development, and radicalized its society, only to face a predictable and humiliating defeat. On October 7, it carried out the worst single-day attack on Jews since the Holocaust with barbaric & shameful brutality. Still, its arsenal never posed a strategic threat to Israel. Its real weapon was the suffering of Gazans, used as human shields to generate casualties and manufacture outrage around the world.
If disarmament proceeds, even partially, it will collapse the narratives of thousands of social media activists, academics, journalists, students, politicians, Arab and Muslim American grifters, Palestinian American imbeciles and countless leftist demagogues who went out of their way to outright support or excuse Hamas’s October 7 attack, refusing to condemn the group or critique its actions and never calling for the Jihadi organization to surrender and give up the hostages much earlier in the war as would have been the sound and sane thing to do to spare Gaza the devastation and save Palestinian lives.
Hamas’s disarmament would collapse the propaganda that portrayed the group as a powerful guerrilla force capable of challenging Israel. Outlets like Al Jazeera amplified an image of Hamas that never matched reality. Many people misunderstood the short‑term tactical success of October 7, enabled by Israeli negligence, as proof of Hamas’s strength. That misreading fueled a wave of delusion and mass psychosis across parts of the “pro‑Palestine” and anti‑Zionist movements.
If disarmament proceeds, even partially, it will thoroughly invalidate the armed‑resistance narrative and expose how hollow Hamas’s strategy has been. Beyond Gaza’s future, the symbolic impact matters: it strips away the mythology that sustained Hamas’s appeal and forces a reckoning with the immense damage the group inflicted on Palestinians themselves. And remember: 44% of American Muslims surveyed a month ago just told Pew Research that they support Hamas.

I met with a friend of Ukraine, the philosopher Bernard-Henri Lévy, who for many years has been spreading the truth about Russia’s war against Ukraine among the French people and across Europe. Truth is an essential part of a just peace because the world must know about every crime committed by Russia, and every crime requires accountability. I thank Bernard and everyone who supports Ukraine and does everything to make sure the wheels of justice turn.

I have recovered my account after a phishing scam. The hackers sent a link to my DMs via a compromised account asking me to vote in a podcast competition. While they had control of my account, they sent this link on in DMs to *many* people. DON'T OPEN ANY LINK. Pls retweet.
@EylonALevy I resist over- easy Reich comparisons but this is absolutely Mein Kampf stuff but also drinks deep from Drumont and classic 19c anti- semitism ..
In October 2022, Ahmad Abu Murkhiyeh was found murdered and decapitated in Hebron. He was 25. He had fled to Israel earlier because he feared being killed for being gay, and he was trying to rebuild a life while stuck in legal and social limbo. Then he ended up back in the place he feared most, and he was butchered.
This is not “culture” and it is not “complex.” This is a Palestinian society problem. A society that treats honor like a weapon and treats difference like a crime will keep producing bodies. And the most telling detail is not only the murder. It is the cowardice afterward. The refusal to say the motive out loud. The whisper network that everyone knows, and everyone pretends not to know. The message to every LGBT Palestinian is simple. Your life is negotiable.
And here is the western hypocrisy. The loudest LGBTQ organizations on earth can mobilize in hours when Israel is the villain of the week. But when a Palestinian is slaughtered by Palestinians for being gay, suddenly it is quiet. Suddenly it is “we need more context.” Suddenly nobody is demanding names, trials, sentences, and real protection inside Palestinian society. If you claim to fight for LGBT lives, then fight for their lives everywhere, not only where it flatters your politics.
If you want to be taken seriously, stop treating Palestinians like children with no agency. Demand accountability. Demand arrests. Demand convictions. Demand an end to the social incitement that makes this predictable. Or admit the truth. For too many activists, Ahmad was not a cause. He was an inconvenience.
Groveling, self-flagellating, confessing to the grand inquisitors, oozing cult-like repentance, licking the trendsetters’ boots, loving the big brother.
The present era has not only destroyed lives. It is also ruining personalities and nurturing abject cowardice.

To Israel-haters, Fania is just another type of oppressor. To the Israeli right, Netanyahu included, she's little better than a traitor. In reality, she's keeping the true, openhearted spirit of Zionism alive, against both extremes. She deserves our support, now more than ever.
