Something is definitely wrong there.

This is literally enough to tell me the player is holding out for United to agree a fee so he can join us, while Mendes is desperately pushing him toward Spurs because they're offering more wages + fees.

@__scottsaunders Agree. Totally agree but this kinda stuff after reaching Top 3 and CL makes our fans frustrated. We want Utd to act like spurs go get tonali and aggresively pursuing fernandes. While we dont know if Tchouameni wants to join us later on

The United of old would have started a bidding war by now instead of keeping their cards close to their chest. This current setup has everyone guessing, Besides, it’s a World Cup season, and the transfer market always shifts accordingly.

It’s refreshing to see Manchester United taking a more measured and strategic approach, allowing other clubs to do the worrying while they quietly go about their business. Patience and discipline in the market can often pay off better than panic-driven spending.

Newcastle made an opening offer for Sesko last summer before United submitted a slightly lower bid. That was successful because Sesko only wanted to sign for United. The deal with Fernandes will come down to what he wants if the financials are roughly similar
