@Brewerblogs Thanks for your kind words. I've mostly moved over to Bluesky, Threads and Instagram as using X is indirectly, supporting (financially) one of the biggest spreaders of misinformation and MAGA propaganda. So going elsewhere is a better investment. Unless @mcuban buys this place.
I once knew a guy in the early days of the Internet who developed copy protection software and offered it to content makers. But they didn't see the piracy landscape coming in the digital world so they declined. He warned and advised best he could but ended up ignored.
With this is mind, I suppose there's nothing left to do but wait it out and see if I was right. Believe me, I hope I was wrong all these years. But I doubt it.
Just think: He holds the presidency, the Senate and probably the House. The Supreme Court is compromised and captured as well. Imagine what he's going to get away with.
@michaelmhughes I'm thinking the same thing. Seems irresponsible indirectly funding MAGA by using Twitter. I like the format and have a THREADS account. Perhaps over there.
This is perhaps the hardest part about today: realizing that our fellow Americans saw all of that; watched all of that; listened to all of that, and still said, โYes, thatโs what we want.โ Thatโs who we are. https://t.co/FAWqPet9GI
@NativeGaWench I hear ya. It's been a shame watching otherwise smart people get caught up in the latest extraordinary popular delusion and the madness of crowds.
@NativeGaWench I'm a nobody around these parts, so my tweeting alarms had little impact. But imagine the work of those with a farther reach who ended up with the same result. Makes a guy like me wanna spend time elsewhere. America seems more interested in entertainment than real politics.
The reason the PPD doesn't know anything about it is because Trump's not talking about them. This is a Proud Boy dog whistle of sorts. It's a call for his faithful to take action. This is only the beginning.
From colleague @holmeslybrand: The Philadelphia Police Department told CNN they were not aware what Trump was referring to and did not know of any issues with voting that required a law enforcement response.
