@CharlieSpice7@oluwadamisi@abalu_uthman Expense fee/ratio is different from commission. Expense fee/ratio are management fee that is charged annually e.g., S&P 500 by vanguard (VOO) expense ratio is 0.03, charged annually. However, commissions are charged ONLY when you buy or sell a stock/ETF.
@ScFidelis@ImadeIyamu That's why it is an "assumption." Even though human beings are fundamentally rational according to traditional economics, behavioural economics has taught us that they can be irrational when it comes to decision-making.
@abalu_uthman Nobody has ever created wealth by diversifying. Diversification is for preservation. Bet on a few (concentrate), sit back, and watch them grow.
@Elijah_Rona Most of the traditional Brokerage houses actually do tell when yo buy or sell. Just that, one needs to clearly know what they are buying, why they are buying, and for how long. Remember, the brokerage houses get money through fees. Don't blindly follow their buy or sell advice.
@EhiamenFemi@abalu_uthman@cowrywise I don't think the fee is high relative to others. Remember, the only fee that gets to them is the Brokerage fee and the processing fee (N250), which i think is a flat rate. Many traditional brokerage firms charge between 1.37% - 1.5% for buy and sell trades.
@iamtennygee@E_maigida@Gisy_official@ProfitableMan1 Try @ARMONE. They are better than afrinvest. I have afrinvest, bamboo, and ARMONE. Other than fees. I Bamboo is far better, though ARMONE is a complete package - stocks, mutual funds, and treasury bills. I'm eagerly waiting for @cowrywise stock trading.
@Chimnwendum@ProfitableMan1 I don't know the app you're using, but if you're using bamboo, you can check your CSCS and CHN by going to your profile - Account Details - Account ID. Under the account ID, you'll see your US stock number and NGX: CSCS and CHN.
@derealstevooo@ProfitableMan1 I think yes, you may need both. On afrinvestor 2.0, you would be able to see "order book" while on bamboo, there is no order book. The "order book" helps you to know what people are willing to buy or sell.
@Buzulee98@ProfitableMan1 In this instance, the person did not use "limit order." It's important to understand how to place a trade using "market" or "limit" orders. Understanding these two can help you a great deal.
@ProfitableMan1 "Your access or funds could be affected" not completely true: If those fintech provide you with CSCS no and CHN, then in the event that the fintech goes under, your funds are not affected because your funds/shares are domiciled with with CSCS.
Yesterday, the emergency committee for #mpox met and recommended to me that the outbreak no longer represents a public health emergency of international concern.
I have accepted that advice, and am pleased to declare that mpox is no longer a global health emergency.
