Dietitians & nutritionists: are there any freelance or project ideas that a student can do to make money and build experience, my resume, a portfolio?

Out of work for the next few months due to foot surgery and looking for something to work on nutrition-related & to make money.

Had subtalar fusion (& more - right foot is really bad) April 22. Need a remote job I can work to pay my bills. Non-weight bearing til June 23, then gradual weight bearing. Does anyone know of remote jobs I can look into? Medical office work background+schooling (no degree yet).

Just watched a video where a woman writer shared how her mum came over to help. Her mum did all the housework, laundry, cooking, cleaning, and childcare so she could focus. During her mum’s stay, writer TRIPLED her daily word count.

Then she said something that hit hard.
Most men have this kind of support their entire lives. Next time you call a man productive, consider that.

Damn. Still letting it sink in.

@Les2530 @drkeithsiau I did well in high school but have averaged a C- throughout college. I seem to have a lot of issues associated w/ ADHD. I’m studying nutrition & dietetics. I think I’d like to go the physician route deep down, but always assumed I wasn’t capable of accomplishing the requirements

@thelowcarb_rd I learned only a couple of years ago that high insulin can prevent ovulation. A friend had gone to a GYN who told her this. I don’t remember any classes I’ve had ever teaching that

@calleymeans I volunteered at a community kitchen for a short time. Their meals per person were $3-5. They served an entree, 2 sides, and a dessert.
