@dotMudge@RayRedacted@dildog@medus4_cdc@Jun34u_sec I seem to remember Demon Roach Underground added an ASCII Express hack (called the Polka AE?) if you typed "KILL" at the login prompt. (I assume that was the trick he was referring to..). Those were the days.
@Sonos At this point, posts about goofy new headphones instead of what you're doing to fix existing paying customers would be completely unbelievable, if we hadn't watched this disaster unfold for the last couple months. No company leadership remaining.
Update: I've bought a couple @wiimhome devices to try out, and I'm pretty happy with them (and the software) so far. Included the now useless @sonos connect amp in the picture for scale.
What's everyone replacing their now-useless @Sonos gear with? The new application has made mine largely unusable - can't find devices randomly, keeps forgetting my Connect:Amps, ridiculous lag. A little surprising they're unwilling to do anything about such a widespread problem.
@Sonos Unbelievable. This list of fixes is like the Titanic's chief engineer saying "I fixed the leaky sink in the bathroom" but ignoring the giant hole in the side of ship. And then being proud of themselves for it. This isn't a software problem anymore, this is a leadership problem.
@chrisalbon If you like the tiling window manager experience that things like i3wm/AwesomeWM/Xmonad provide in the Linux environment, then Yabai is worth trying. I've been using it for a few months now after moving back to OSX for work, and its simple, fast, and easy to customize.
IntelliJ tip of the day: If you run IntelliJ in Docker on X11, and your icons disappear after upgrading to 2021.*, add this to your vmoptions: -Dremote.x11.workaround=false (JBR-2755). That took a while to figure out..
