Do you have a wife and 2 kids about to enter college?! That’s only 400k/year at 4% draw, and after taxes =only about 250k/yr. If i was single then yeah obviously less but when i retire I don’t want to worry about running out and leaving nothing to pass down. just me personally. plus im 5x off from my goal of 10m so it keeps me focused to have a large goal!
