@Dee54321Dee@George_Nixon97 They got back and accepted valuation about 8 months after I submitted it. Finally paid off loan in June (applied in August last year!)
Dipping my toe briefly back into building safety, and a story I've been covering for 3 years.
Cladding victims who bought their home through Help to Buy have been badly treated by the gov and it agencies.
Now, the Financial Ombudsman seems to agree. https://t.co/PGfBIWTHd3
@George_Nixon97 They have told me on the phone that any drop in value of more than 10% has to be reviewed so I would love to know if anyone has actually managed to pay back the loan at a lower value or if they are all stuck under review.
@George_Nixon97 Yes - I have been trying to pay off the loan for 6 months but my case is indefinitely “under review” by Homes England as I think they are trying to find a reason to not accept the lower cladding affected valuation.
@textstar @AdmiralUK Same thing has happened to me today and when I tried to log in to MyAccount to check what is happening, the site appears to be down.
It's election day, which of course means that #dogsatpollingstations is trending! The dogs Britons would be most pleased to see are...
Labrador Retriever: 69
Border Collie, Golden Retriever: 67
Red Setter, English Shepherd: 61

.@LKPleasehold published an interesting article that mentions Gov need for a solid platform to report the scale of cladding scandal.

Thank god for people like @Andrew_Adonis, @BishopStAlbans and @Fox_Claire fighting so passionately to protect us leaseholders against the unjust fees and to #EndOurCladdingScandal, it boggles the mind that the government could hear from these people and not take action.
Thank you to everyone in Edinburgh, London and across the world who joined us for Prof Sir John Curtice's entertaining and informative #IFoALecture and for your excellent questions. See you in Autumn for our next #IFoALecture
