@HiringLib I don't have an exact timeline, but I know that the holdup at our org is Academic HR. Library HR and committees are usually fast, but AHR is a complete bottleneck. Frustrating for hard-to-fill positions where we need to move fast!
@HiringLib Doubly hard when the internal person has already been doing the job successfully (ie as an interim). Not sure how to make that fair to the external candidate, except disclosing that there is someone internal. Don't think that would fly with the powers that be, though
@HiringLib This is so hard. My library moved from doing a lot of internal promotions with no external job posting, to posting every job externally even if there was a strong internal candidate. I understand this is for transparency, but isn't great for the ext. candidate

We received reports that an unknown party is purposefully spreading misinformation via robocalls in Flint in an attempt to confuse voters.
Let me be clear — if you plan to vote in-person, you must do so, or be in line to do so, by 8PM today.
Getting reports of multiple robocalls going to Flint residents that, due to long lines, they should vote tomorrow.
Obviously this is FALSE and an effort to suppress the vote. No long lines and today is the last day to vote. Don’t believe the lies! Have your voice heard! RT PLS.
