the "Reduce Transparency" toggle doesn't really work anymore under macOS 26.1 unfortunately. washed out toolbar icons especially in Mail, text visible under text fields. please Apple this is user abuse!

so this is the iOS Files app under iOS 26.0.1 Liquid Glass. I have to guess where I save (in a folder called "Bureaublad" written in black over dark grey) and know what button to press ("Bewaar" in white over light gray). I am not really convinced this UI is a welcome improvement

the only thing consistent in macOS Tahoe so far is the total absence of any consistency at all. see, for instance, this simple Finder schene where three different modes of highlighting are used. can somebody please put a stop to this utter nonsense? #macOSTahoe #macos26

if I enter a yearly repeating appointment in @Apple Calendar it only shows up on leap days in the future. the entry I entered today first appears in 2028. I am wondering if that is by design or a bug. I would file this under the latter. birthdays shift back a day though! #leapday
