US imperialism strikes again. US forces attack a commercial oil tanker in the Gulf of Oman, killing 3 Indian sailors in cold blood. This is the second such attack reported within two days.
Yet the MEA's statement doesn't even name the US as the perpetrator! While Indian lives are lost, Modi is busy thanking Trump and hailing the "India-US strategic partnership."
Shameless subservience!
We strongly condemn this illegal US attack and the Government's complete abdication of India's sovereignty and duty to protect Indian citizens. The government must issue a strong condemnation and demand full accountability for the loss of Indian lives. It should intervene and pressurise the US to stop its attacks in West Asia and withdraw the blockade near the Strait of Hormuz and ensure free navigation.
The Delhi High Court's verdict in the #NewsClick case is a major setback for the BJP that misuses central agencies to suppress political dissent. The action against NewsClick and its editor, Prabir Purkayastha, was an attempt to silence critical journalism and democratic voices. This is a victory for democratic rights and press freedom over the fascist politics of the Sangh Parivar.
Assembly of lapses?
1. DGP Ravada Chandrasekhar entering the Niyamasabha itself is a procedural lapse. As the head of law and order, a DGP cannot casually enter inside the Niyamasabha.
2. The Governor repeatedly said “Kerala” instead of “Keralam” - even after the same Niyamasabha officially proposed and adopted the name Keralam.
3. Vande Mataram was sung twice before the policy statement for the first time. The Governor himself altered the programme and inserted his diktat, and the government obliged without any protest. If the two stanzas of Vande Mataram were to be sung in the Assembly, why could the government not include them in the first draft itself? Since when has the Governor become the legitimate authority deciding Assembly procedure?
4. After ten years, Keralam produces a policy statement without even a word of criticism against Narendra Modi. It perfectly tallies with CM Satheesan’s silence after the raids targeting Pinarayi Vijayan.
A Chief Minister with no experience in governance, who once lit a lamp before Golwalkar, now appears afraid of the RSS. What a shame.

Rubio, standing next to Trump: "Nicolas Maduro had multiple opportunities to avoid this. He was provided multiple very, very, very generous offers, and chose instead to act like a wild man."
Trump to Fox News earlier in the day: "You know, he [Maduro] wanted to negotiate at the end and I didn’t want to negotiate. I said, nope."
In Kerala, RSS-BJP guys ganged up on an inter-state migrant worker , accused him of being a Bangladeshi and murdered him. His name was Ram Narayan and was from Chattisgarh. Every marginally better election result emboldens these subhumans to kill, murder and rape.
#BREAKING: Kerala govt will not submit to Union govt diktat to block films at IFFK, all blocked films will be screened at the festival.
“This censorship reflects the authoritarian character of Sangh Parivar rule which suppresses diverse creatives voices.”
~ CM @pinarayivijayan
Kerala Minister for Cultural Affairs Saji Cherian has directed State Chalachitra Academy to screen all the films at IFFK @iffklive , including the remaining 15 films for which the Union I&B ministry has not yet provided censor exemption.
Strongly condemn the brutal murder of farmer leader and former party state committee member Comrade Samineni Ramarao, who was attacked by Congress goons in Patarlapadu, his native village in Telangana, and stabbed to death. The state government should apprehend the assailants immediately and bring them to justice.
My heartfelt condolences to Comrade Ramarao's family and his dear comrades.
This year I have been travelling across multiple cities in India & lived in the US as well.
Nowhere have I seen waste segregation & disposal systems as efficient as in Trivandrum.
It's not about the streets alone, but an integrated network of homes, HKS and recycling plants.
Condemn the arrest of Comrade Chithra Bhanu, member of the CPI(M) IT Front Local Committee, and Comrade Suhas Adiga in Bengaluru. The Congress government in Karnataka is using undemocratic methods to suppress people's struggles.
