This is an alarming case that reflects the extent of China's attempt to silence dissent inside Taiwan:
"Prosecutors in Taiwan have indicted five people for allegedly trying to injure a comedian who mocks the Chinese Communist Party and President Xi Jinping as part of his act.

Jonathan Powell’s position as National Security Adviser is untenable.

His repeated meetings with the CCP were disclosed not by the British Government, but by Chinese Communist Party read outs, and serious questions remain over his role in the collapsed China spy case.

He has refused to appear before many Parliamentary committees.

Universal Credit was designed to make work pay, simplify the benefits system and help people escape dependency. That principle remains as important today as it was when I introduced it. But successive governments have allowed policy decisions to undermine its purpose. During Covid, warnings were ignored, money was handed out with insufficient checks and we are now living with the consequences.

We have created a system where millions are trapped on benefits, too many young people are written off before their working lives have even begun, and the welfare bill continues to spiral. The answer is not simply to spend more money. It is to restore the moral purpose of work.

Work is about far more than a wage. It brings independence, dignity, self-respect and the opportunity to build a better life. That must once again be at the heart of welfare reform.

昨天，一名在台大交換的中國籍學生，因為發布一張錯位照片，看起來像是用手捏住賴清德總統的頭，還配上「小小賴清德拿下」等文字，以及相關標籤，遭到移民署驅逐出境。

國民黨立委林沛祥立刻跳出來，質疑政府處分過重，強調不能把政治嘲諷和具有實質危險的恐嚇混為一談，還質問：「言論自由去了哪裡？」

政治人物願意捍衛言論自由，值得肯定。不過，看到林委員這番話，我想起去年自己在基隆的一次經歷。

2025年5月，我應基隆公民團體邀請，參加大罷免活動的集會，在公開場合發表演講。結果，國民黨基隆市黨部和林沛祥委員的團隊，立刻大動作召開記者會，指控我是「外國人」，不應該介入台灣政治，還向中選會及移民署提出檢舉，要求將我驅逐出境。

問題是，當時我早已取得中華民國國籍。他們連基本的查證都沒有做，就急著開記者會、向政府檢舉。我當時不過是在公開場合表達政治意見，既沒有恐嚇任何人，也沒有威脅任何人的安全。

可是，當時的林沛祥委員，似乎完全沒有想到要替我的言論自由說一句話。

如今，換成一名中國籍學生發布涉及威脅台灣總統的爭議圖文，林委員卻突然成了言論自由的捍衛者。

更讓我難以理解的，是今年7月6日，我在台中街頭突然遭到一名具有香港黑道背景的男子揮拳襲擊。當各界質疑背後可能有中國當局的影子、可能是「跨境鎮壓」時，林沛祥委員立刻提醒大家「不要預設立場」，強調嫌犯可能只是「認錯人了」。

這番話，難免讓人覺得是在替中國政府開脫。

如今，嫌犯已遭起訴。檢方認定，這是一起因不滿我的言論而發動的，具有組織、計畫及金錢報酬背景的襲擊事件，是為了在台灣社會製造「寒蟬效應」，達到「殺一儆百」的效果。

林委員是否還堅持當初「認錯人了」的說法？

從上述這幾件事情，實在讓人很難不懷疑，林委員捍衛的究竟是什麼樣的言論自由？為什麼事情只要和中國有關，就突然變得格外寬容？

這難道不是雙重標準嗎？

沈伯洋當選會在社區發毒品？台北藥師怒批國民黨：20 年防疫努力被拿來當選舉工具！

民進黨台北市長候選人沈伯洋帶動的洋流席捲全台，不只逼平尋求連任的台北市長蔣萬安，還帶動 2026 地方選舉民進黨候選人選情。國民黨陣營近期翻出沈伯洋 12 年前在美國攻讀博士期間撰寫的投書，將其中討論毒品減害政策的內容，扭曲為「鼓勵吸毒」、「縱容毒品」，甚至出現沈伯洋當選後將在社區「發毒品」的說法。

中國國民黨大安區立委羅智強指控沈伯洋想讓社區中心變成「毒品百貨、量販超商」；內湖南港的立委李彥秀則宣稱，沈伯洋若當選未來社工會在社區提供毒品給吸毒者。蔣萬安也加入批評，甚至質疑沈伯洋要在哪裡設立社區中心、提供什麼毒品。

這些說法引發第一線醫護、社工人員強烈反彈，社工團體甚至到李彥秀服務處抗議，要求道歉。

但這場選舉攻防真正可能傷害的，恐怕不只是某一位候選人，而是台灣花了超過 20 年建立的毒品減害與愛滋防疫成果。

沃草專訪長期投入毒品減害政策的台北市「 71 恩典藥局」藥師洪增陽。他在 2017 年申請讓自己經營的藥局成為愛滋友善藥局，協助愛滋感染者取得治療藥物。

他不只是具有公共衛生背景的藥師，他收養的女兒生母是一名有藥癮的愛滋感染者。洪增陽夫婦原本是孩子的寄養家庭，在孩子一歲時生母過世後，正式收養了她。

洪增陽解釋，台灣自 2005 年推動的減害政策，包含美沙冬替代治療與安全針具服務。提供乾淨針具，不是鼓勵吸毒，而是降低共用針具造成愛滋、B 型與 C 型肝炎傳播的風險，也讓藥癮者有更多機會接觸醫療與戒癮服務。

「這並不是要漠視吸毒問題，而是先把防疫做好之後，後續再來進行戒毒。」

然而，這些長期累積的公衛經驗，卻在選舉攻防中被簡化成「發毒品」、「鼓勵吸毒」。洪增陽批評，蔣萬安後來到昆明防治中心視察美沙冬療法，國民黨陣營才開始承認美沙冬是好的政策，反映出選舉團隊在攻擊議題前，並未充分理解相關政策的脈絡。

當選舉攻防把行之多年的公共衛生政策扭曲成「鼓勵吸毒」，受影響的不只是候選人，更可能加深社會對藥癮者的污名，讓第一線醫療、社工人員的工作更加困難。
