DVAC seizes Rs 8.21 lakh cash, detects suspicious GPay transactions worth Rs 1.5 crore in checks across TN

The Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption (DVAC), along with District Inspection Cell officials, conducted joint surprise checks at 43 government offices across Tamil Nadu on Friday (Oct 23).

The inspections covered corporation offices, BDO offices, government hospitals, panchayat and municipality offices, DTCP offices, deputy director of health services offices, union offices and town panchayat offices, among others.
Officials seized unaccounted cash of Rs 8.21 lakh during the checks.

Suspicious digital transactions through GPay amounting to Rs 1.50 crore were also detected.

The total value of unaccounted cash and suspicious digital transactions stood at Rs 1.59 crore.

But water issue will not go away in Chennai. Rapid urbanisation in all places and in many lake area builder have build the apartment and house for last 30 years.

Real test is when it will continuously rain for two to three days nonstop then in many places huge water log will be there which is unavoidable in Chennai.
