@Dead_Data@oringordon@jvgraz@shaunking@nytimes ...“We must recognize that we can’t solve our problem now until there is a radical redistribution of economic and political power… this means a revolution of values... While ICE's stated policy is not to target U.S. citizens, reports and data suggest that mistakes and wrongful detentions have occurred, leading to concerns about racial profiling and the impact of immigration enforcement on U.S. citizens. Explain this to your viewers Sen. Ashley Moody
@atrupar I like seeing the different ways Republican networks try to spin the unlawfulness of how this admin is using ICE…as if there are not daily videos posted across all media outlets of what ICE is actually doing….
@atrupar Projection much?
Calling critics of ICE “anarchist pawns” while defending a system built on raids, cages, and fear?
Sounds more like you want control, not order.
Who’s the real extremist here?
@atrupar Nope. We just don't want them to cover their faces. They should also have visible nametags and badge #'s (as is the industry standard for LE officers) Also have them quit acting like thugs.
@atrupar Criticizing ICE for violating rights and operating without transparency isn't dismissing law enforcement it's demanding accountability. Blind loyalty to any agency isn't patriotism it's authoritarianism. We don't serve institutions they serve the people.
@KentuckyKOT@KobeissiLetter We are REQUIRED to have a trade deficit because our Dollar is the reserve currency for the world. It has worsened exactly because we are an economic powerhouse. It’s actually a good thing overall. Look up “Triffin dilemma”. Trump’s chaos threatens to collapse it all.
@SpencerHakimian Trade with Japan is essential for manufacturing our electronic technology in the United States. The tariff roulette has put our production plans on hold. We can't plan, invest, or create new jobs.
How long is this going to last?
Can the American economy withstand it?
@SpencerHakimian Japan is a very strong and strategic USA Ally.
Trump should understand that if Japan were to stop buying USA debt and liquidate the existing portfolio, confidence in the USA economy would sink, raising the cost of borrowing.
This would most likely spread like bushfire.
@SpencerHakimian Trade deficit?
Of course there’s a trade deficit. The people of Japan number less than 125 million. How on earth can they be expected to buy as much from the USA as the 340 million people of the USA buy from them?
Donald Trump is a pompous old fart. Trump ignorantly talks about “Trade Deficits engendered by Japan’s Tariff, and Non Tariff, Policies, and Trade Barriers.” Trade deficits are caused primarily by comparative advantage, not by tariffs and trade barriers. The bilateral trade deficit with one country is not the most relevant number. You have to look at the US trade deficit across many trading partners.
Like a dope, Trump says “We will charge Japan a Tariff of only 25% of any and all Japanese products sent into the United States, separate from all Sectoral Tariffs.” Trump is repeating his stupid lie that foreign countries pay tariffs. According to Search Labs AI Overview, “Tariffs are not charged to the exporting country. Tariffs, or import duties, are taxes imposed by a country on goods being imported into that country. They are paid by the importer of record, typically a business or individual in the importing country, at the time the goods cross the border.”
Trump, 79, is in an age group with a mean WAIS-IV IQ of 79. The mean of the distribution is the expected value of his IQ. For the United States to have a President who isn’t smart is like having an albatross around the necks of all Americans. What’s worse, Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, White House Economic Adviser Kevin Hassett and Trade Adviser Peter Navarro form a kakistocracy put together by Trump, government by the least suitable or competent citizens of a state.

A partial, but still significant, part of the answer.
