During the 2022 bear market it spent 412 days below the 200 day SMA. Right now it’s at 302 days.

A COLD DAY

Bitcoin is ready for production and simultaneously still in Beta.

This was something I trusted in. This was the device I chose to use. @COLDCARDwallet
And now this ColdCard will become a lesson and a reminder of the day the community around this project (Very much myself included) got a stern slap across the wrists.

Incase you were unaware, there is this incredible piece of innovation, and this remarkable, pure, honest, available brilliance called Bitcoin.
And if you understand Bitcoin, you know as well as I do that it is not only the best chance we have to actually hold a fair and honest currency, but also one of the only things in this world that you actually own the access to. And that can’t be taken away from you, or so I thought.

Bitcoin. This project needs to be looked out for and protected. Bitcoin IS production and adoption ready, but the access to it is not. Some could even say Bitcoin is still in its beta. 

I think there may have been a side road sprinted past on this unknown trail we find ourselves on. We have always thought that to have custody of something is to have self custody, And that Self Sovereignty is the apex of what we should achieve. But we are Bitcoiners, we are a Fellowship, a citizenry of the great network, a neighbourhood and a society of humans that want to trade, transact, and hold what is rightfully theirs.

There has been a stick of dynamite under our noses the whole time. It doesn’t really matter that it was Cold Card themselves, (Although, bad show guys. Wake up and stop being lazy. Incompetence can not be tolerated, especially not at this level.)

What matters is that we all thought that the level of innovation we had achieved was Bitcoin gospel standard, true to the mantra, simple, rock solid, foundational access to the network. Which some of it is, but we need all of it to be.

And as @lorenzolfm so eloquently put it;

Ok easy fix for the future, create your own entropy:

“Excuse me men and women of the world, and you back there behind the desk, yes you, the banks and the institutions. Bitcoin is ready for everyone, the world is ready to transact with each other!”

“But just quickly before we start. Would you be so kind as to roll this die a hundred times for me please.”

Now me, I would have been more than happy to roll the dice, and probably would have felt better for it regardless.

But I didn’t know I needed to.

At this level of Production Bitcoin, and beta adoption, we need open source, or some sort of community that never looks away from the code, because we have still not figured out the trust aspect.

I have lost more than some and a lot less than others, but I have lost my stack, NO my stack was taken from me. And if you are a true bitcoiner, you’ll also understand that i have lost time. Time that I had been stacking for the future.

Never again. Lesson learnt.

If anyone can get me in contact with @COLDCARDwallet (yes, I got hit) I would GREATLY be thankful.
In going to mine &my son's MK.3 I have found that BOTH screens will not output. They have been hidden away in a fire safe since I made our wallets.
Could really use a hand. pls RT

@blocktrainer @COLDCARDwallet Steht nicht drin dass wenn der seed mit 100 würfeln erstellt wurde alles sicher ist. Vielleicht sollte man generell sein seed würfeln und nicht auf falsche Entropie vertrauen die durch computer erzeugt wurde. Egal welches hardearewallet. Vielleicht kann man das in den Artikel add
