Hi, I’m Eskii. 🇬🇧📈
UK business owner documenting a methodical, no-hype investing journey — and showing the maths behind every move.
📊 Portfolio: ~£20.4k
💷 £100/week into my Stocks & Shares ISA
🌍 S&P 500 index core, a semiconductor tilt, plus one small individual position
📈 +11% so far
I post portfolio updates, the UK tax + ISA stuff most people skip (fiscal drag, wrappers, allowances), and how government policy actually hits savers, investors and businesses.
Same plan every week, whatever the headlines.
⚠️ Not financial advice. Just my own journey.
@JamesP728 I have the full amount, I thought the returns would be better but they aren’t. Merely a tax wrapper for me. I don’t want to waste two years moving it all to my S&S
@StocksandDares I got £100 after £25 last month. It’s a tax wrapper at the end of the day, would take 2 and a bit years to transfer to my isa and it’s better in there than a cash isa or bank account!
Won £100 on my Premium Bonds this month. 🎉
What I’ll actually do with it: it goes to work, not into the current account. Small wins like this are easy to fritter — a takeaway here, a “treat” there — and they vanish.
Mine gets reinvested.
£100 sounds trivial, but every £100 you redirect from spending to investing is a brick in the wall. The habit matters more than the amount.
@shane80941270 As it stands semiconductors are the only product that can do what they do, at the speed that’s required. I think we are still early, and you’re likely correct that this plays out but many still have confidence in the direction, myself included
