Tegucigalpa no es solo una capital de cerros empinados; es el reflejo de décadas de abandono institucional. A las puertas de cumplir 448 años de existencia, la ciudad continúa enfrentando una paradoja trágica: vive entre racionamientos de agua, mientras generaciones de administradores, alcaldes y políticos han sido incapaces de resolver uno de sus problemas más elementales. La crisis del agua es un crimen político cometido por un círculo de funcionarios que han hecho del desabastecimiento su negocio y, de la sed ajena, su principal mina de votos.
La receta ha sido siempre la misma: demagogia y populismo hídrico. Promesas de represas, ampliaciones de redes y proyectos de distribución que reaparecen en cada campaña electoral para desaparecer una vez contados los votos. Mientras tanto, miles de familias en barrios y colonias dependen de racionamientos extremos o del negocio de los camiones cisterna, y pagan precios excesivos por un servicio que debería estar garantizado por el Estado.
Resulta inadmisible que Tegucigalpa lleve décadas sabiendo que sus fuentes de abastecimiento son insuficientes. Las represas Los Laureles y Concepción ya no pueden seguir sosteniendo un crecimiento poblacional que exige nuevas inversiones; aun así, los gobiernos municipales se han lucrado con la gestión pública, usando el presupuesto para el pavimento electoral mientras entierran la inversión humana en el subsuelo.
Romper este ciclo exige abandonar las soluciones de corto plazo y asumir decisiones estructurales. La construcción de nuevas represas como El Naranjal y Jacaleapa, o la reactivación del proyecto Guacerique II, deben convertirse en una prioridad nacional. Estas obras no pueden seguir siendo promesas de campaña; deben convertirse en proyectos de Estado con veeduría ciudadana y financiamiento internacional blindado contra la corrupción.
También urge la reestructuración total de la red de distribución. A cell couldn't have evolved from some nebulous simpler "protocell" because even the simplest cells still require massive complexity.
The "simplest" cell ever created was engineered by scientists knocking out pieces of a functional cell until it stopped functioning.
Here is what they found is the absolute necessary minimal requirements of a cell to function:
- Over ~531,000 lines of coded DNA information
- 473 total genes to create hundreds of unique protein products (they later added 19 genes back in because the cell was so weak)
- Hundreds of thousands of total proteins all working together
- Extensive regulatory networks guiding all these interactions
If the cell doesn't have all these systems in place, from the start...
it doesn't live.
Cell rely on an intricate network of complex systems, which are themselves built from complex interconnected pieces woven together into an incomprehensibly complex web of functionilty.

Many Evolutionists can't seem to understand why this number is absolutely devastating to evolutionary theory.
Here is why this incomprehensible number makes evolution impossible.
First, let's make sure we're all on the same page.
What are proteins? Proteins are the building blocks of the nano-machines that make up all cellular life. Proteins are made up of a long, specifically ordered string of amino acids. There are 20 amino acids used in life, and all proteins are made up of a highly complex, specifically ordered sequence of these 20 amino acids.
When aa's form up in the proper sequence, they can be folded into a shape that creates a functional tool known as a protein, which is then typically placed into a wider system where it works alongside other proteins towards the functional cohesion of the entire system. There are around 20,000 functional proteins that make up all the systems inside human cells.
So here is why this matters:
Evolutionary innovation, necessary to explain the origin of novel organs and other structures, requires the development of novel proteins to account for the different cell structures in different organs.
For example: A dinosaur evolving into a bird requires novel proteins to make the feathers and other structures. A fish evolving into a land creature needs novel proteins for lungs and limbs.
But functional proteins are incredibly, incomprehensibly rare. Douglas Axe spent years experimenting on proteins, trying to figure out how they could possibly evolve. He published a peer reviewed scientific research paper showing that there is only 1 functional protein in a total of 10^77 possible amino acid sequences. And that's for a short protein of 150 aa's. Average proteins are 300 aa's, and some are thousands.
This number has never been refuted - despite the evolutionists complaints that it's false or misleading.
What this number actually means is that evolutionary mechanisms, which work by randomly mutating the DNA sequences that create these proteins - known as genes - are overwhelmingly more likely, even guaranteed, to break a protein before stumbling on another functional sequence.
How exactly is evolution supposed to be able to search through 10^77 possible sequences to create novel functional proteins?
To put that number into perspective, it's estimated that there are approximately 10^80 particles in the entire universe. Mathematicians consider anything with odds greater than 1 in 10^50 effectively impossible.
Yet evolutionists simply ignore this fact. They claim evolution just miraculously finds functional sequences by mutating proteins. There's not enough time in all the universe to possibly find one short protein, but somehow blind mindless evolution created thousands??
It stretches the bounds of logic and reason beyond any rationality. It's impossible.
Evolution cannot create novel proteins, because evolution cannot search through the innumerable possible amino acid sequence. Evolution is guaranteed to break proteins by mutating them, not creating new ones.
It's a mathematical impossibility.
Proteins are a form of specified complexity. A structure that is both highly complex, but also is specifically arranged in such a way that its arrangement gives it functional significance.
In all of human experience, only intelligence creates specified complexity.
Since evolution cannot create novel proteins, and proteins are a form of specified complexity, the most logical and rational conclusion is that Life is Divinely Designed.
