Time and again, when Nigel Farage’s political funding is put under the spotlight, his response has been to claim that dark forces are at work to prevent him getting to the top of politics – rather than acknowledging that his approach to declaring donations and interests has been cavalier at best...
Farage claims that “no one cares” – particularly not Reform voters, who are simply fed up with the status quo. However, some others in Reform are not so sure, with worries that their leader may be losing his ability to shrug off scandal in the same way that Boris Johnson began to lose his lustre after the Partygate furore.
Regardless of whether rules have actually been breached, the impression that Farage is a man of the people who can sympathise with the cost of living struggles of millions is undermined by his willingness to let others pay his bills.

Abdul El-Sayed on AIPAC: “Why does an organization that wants to send our money abroad to drop bombs on women and children, to back a genocidal foreign government, why are they attacking me? Well, because they know I want to keep our money here, to invest in women’s health here and childcare here. They know they can’t beat us on the fundamentals of the debate”
Family farm bankruptcies in the United States are sharply rising and rapidly accelerating.
2025 filings increased 46% nationwide, Midwest filings jumped 70%, and Illinois filings rose 55%.
There have been 62 Chapter 12 farm bankruptcies in April 2026 alone, a 130% year-over-year increase.
Just to be clear, Chapter 12 bankruptcy requires a family to earn a majority of their income from the farm, so a lot of smaller operations that might rely on non-farming jobs just to survive don't even qualify.
This means the actual level of financial distress that family farms are facing is much higher than the bankruptcy data suggests.
The USDA projects total farm debt will rise to a record $624.7 billion in 2026.
Keep your eyes on this. The control of our nation's farmland and our food production are being stripped from American families, and consolidated into much larger operations driven by the interests of powerful investors who want to own our country and our people.
“This is not ok. We cannot normalize the National Guard killing American citizens. They shouldn’t be in Memphis at all. The family deserves answers.”

Exactly 250 years ago, the Declaration of Independence called Native Americans “merciless Indian savages.”
Today, one of their descendants could become the first Native governor in New Mexico’s history, and first Native American woman governor in the history of the U.S.
I spoke with Deb Haaland, the first Native American Cabinet secretary about what this Fourth of July means to her.

I will never forget it. A year ago, I stumbled upon an investigative piece by a local British journalist, I think from Kent.
He had mapped it all out' detailing the gambling lobby, Cottrell's operations, and his moves into Montenegro.
A few days later, I went back to find the link. It was completely gone. I searched every keyword. Nothing.
Now, seeing @carolecadwalladr expose how The Spectator ran interference and how Carter-Ruck was hired, the puzzle is complete.
The threats worked. As Carole rightly says, UK journalism is becoming a 'desert' because of this legal terror, allowing the truth to vanish right before our eyes.
They can clean the internet and threaten local journalists. But they cannot erase the memory of those who saw the truth before it was wiped.
