The International Maths Olympiad took place this week in China. Closing ceremony and results will be out on 20th, Monday.
This is the most prestigious Maths competition for high scholars in the world.
Our top talents will be taking this exam today and tomorrow (to simulate the actual exam conditions) for a painful but exciting 9hours (4.5hours each day).
This will give them the needed experience when they get the chance to compete in the actual contest hopefully next year; these are some of the toughest maths problems they will ever face.
I will post the problems on Monday.
These problems are designed to stretch your creativity beyond the advanced problem solving strategies students have mastered.
These are the sort of rigour and creativity needed today for cutting-edge technological advancement and creation of sustainable systems that scale.
We are excited to be at the heart of this and itโs a blessing working daily with some of the brightest minds from the continent at @SpecialMaths to develop these young talents for the future.
I met this 14-year-old boy, Okpako-Onyokoko Ovie Joel, from Graceland International School, Port Harcourt, and I have been so impressed by his exploits.
36 international awards in Mathematics at just 14 years old.
He is a star, and the world will know him.
A pastor was fined โฆ50,000 for preaching the Gospel in a bus. If that is the cost of proclaiming Christ, then it is a price worth paying. Jesus paid far more for our souls. The Gospel has always carried a cost, but it must still be preached, with love, wisdom, and courage. Jesus must be heard.
Terra will help Nigeria become Africa's largest defense exporter in a few years. But beyond Africa, our goal is to defend the Global South against terrorism
The Global South cannot rely on imported Western and Chinese systems not designed for asymmetric warfare. We will need to build defense gigafactories across Africa, LATAM, & Southeast Asia to win the war on terror.
