BREAKING: Congressman Adam Smith DISMANTLES Pete Hegseth during a hearing, gets him all flustered and contradicting himself before cutting in: "Whoa, whoa, whoa!"
Then came the knockout punch...
"So they haven't broken yet, okay, we haven't gotten there yet for all of the—" Smith said, referring to the Trump administration's failed efforts to bomb Iran into submission.
"Well, their nuclear facilities have been obliterated, underground, they're buried, and we're watching them 24-7," claimed Hegseth.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa!" interjected Smith. "Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa!"
"So we know where any nuclear material—" Hegseth tried.
"Reclaiming my time for just a quick second here," said Smith. "We had to start this war, you just said, 60 days ago, because the nuclear weapon was an imminent threat! Now you're saying that it was completely obliterated?"
"They had not given up their nuclear ambitions," said Hegseth.
Sorry, but what?
Huh?
Really?
This war was about destroying Iran's "ambitions" to obtain nuclear weapons? It may come as a shock to Pete Hegseth — clouded as his mind is by the Jack Daniel's — but bombs are incapable of killing abstract concepts like "ambitions." They're similarly incapable of destroying dreams or imaginations.
"And they had a conventional shield of thousands of missiles—" Hegseth continued.
"So Operation Midnight Hammer accomplished nothing of substance and left us at exactly the same place we were before! So much so that we had to start a war," said Smith.
Bingo!
This is the underlying reality of Trump's war that we have been raging about for months. This White House simultaneously claims that they destroyed Iran's nuclear facilities in June of 2025 and that they started this war in February 2026 because they had to prevent Iran from getting nuclear weapons.
Both things cannot be true. And Smith nailed it.
"You're missing the point," whined Hegseth. "Their facilities were bombed and obliterated, their ambitions continued, and they're building a conventional shield."
"All right, let me try again," said Smith.
"It's the North Korea strategy, you know this very well, the North Korea strategy was use conventional missiles to prevent anybody from challenging them so they could slow off their way to a weapon," said Hegseth. "President Trump saw Iran at its weakest moment, took an action to ensure, in a way that only the United States of America could do with our Israeli partners—
"And yet they still haven't given up," said Smith.
Exactly right congressman. Iran has not surrendered because they realize that this is an existential fight for their survival. They hold all of the real leverage through their control of the Strait of Hormuz.
As for Hegseth's rambling word salad, we all know the truth by now. Trump started this war because Israel asked him to because they want to reduce Iran to a bombed-out failed state incapable of projecting power in the region. Once that happens, Israel will be able to continue its territorial expansion uncontested.
If Trump wants to convince us of his lies, he should try sending someone a bit more competent than his Secretary of Booze. So far, the only nuclear radiation we detect is on Hegseth's breath.
Please ❤️ and share to thank Congressman Smith!
It seems the White House may have uploaded that video unintentionally. It's now been made private.
But I downloaded it, so here's the full WH feed of the Easter lunch earlier today.
Trump does sound a bit more candid here than he does in front of reporters.
Hey @SenMullin, what the actual fuck are you talking about?
Did I miss the part of your bio where you served in combat (or served in uniform at all??).
Call of Duty doesn’t count.
I HOPE EVERYONE HAS A GREAT HOLIDAY WEEKEND, EXCEPT OUR CLINICALLY ILL FELON PRESIDENT, STEPHEN MILLER, JD VANCE, JD’S COUCH, JD’S FUTON, KASH KANT KATCH ‘EM PATEL, KOSPLAY KRISTI, PARTICIPATION-TROPHY PETE, KAROLYN’ LEAVITT, SECRETARY BRAINWORM, AND MIKE “ALWAYS ON HIS KNEES” JOHNSON. — GCN
BREAKING: JD Vance just stumbled into saying the quiet part out loud.
While trying to score political points, he ended up echoing the exact principle raised by six Democratic members of Congress:
“We don’t just want people who mindlessly follow orders… we want people who think.”
And here’s the thing:
People who think don’t carry out illegal orders.
People who think don’t become foot soldiers for authoritarian fantasies.
Vance accidentally endorsed the one idea his own movement fears the most, independent judgment.
With political violence on the rise, it’s outrageous, vile, and disgusting for the President to amplify calls for hangings. And it’s also obviously an attempt to distract from this:
