Today, I remember my old friend Col. Walter Ochora. He was the shortest serving 'President' of the country. He served for 25 minutes or something I think. Mzee rescued us from so much turmoil.
Only 2️⃣ in 3️⃣ children living with HIV in Uganda have achieved viral suppression. Closing this gap is urgent — every child deserves timely treatment and lifelong health.

The Ugandan delegation is in Montreal, Canada attending the 24th International AIDS conference. The conference convened policy makers, scientists to deliberate and join forces in accelerating an evidence-based and equitable HIV response.

Today, I launched the findings of the PMTCT Impact Evaluation Study which gave us good results. Two decades ago, 30 out of 100 mothers delivered HIV+ babies. Today, we get only 3 out of 100 deliveries with HIV+ babies. This is excellent progress for us as a country.
