My library just sent out an email that they will be starting curb side pick up for books this week. And, despite the obvious current crisis, I really just felt that all was right with the world. 📚
Wanna know what is not a great combo? Two people with the runs living & working at home in 600 square feet with one bathroom while on a toilet paper ration.
Five things you can do to make a difference in the world right now:
1. Pray
2. Donate blood
3. Love your neighbor
4. Send encouraging messages to any healthcare worker you know
5. Pray
"The real things havent changed. It is still best to be honest & truthful; to make the most of what we have; to be happy with the simple pleasures & to be cheerful & have courage when things go wrong." Laura Ingalls Wilder
So, half the U.S. needs to watch the movie Contagin, understand this is our reality & #stayhome. The other half of the U.S. needs to stop buying TP & take a chill pill (fist fights in stores will solve NOTHING). Then we all need to acknowledge God is still in control & trust him.
I am currently ready to go waiting at the door while my husband changes his outfit because he can't find coordinating shoes to go with his previous outfit. It is the other way 99.9% of the time, with him waiting for me. So I just needed to tweet to commemorate the moment.
The older I get the more I learn that pausing to read directions is a skill that few people have. And I am convinced that 75% of problems could be avoided all together if people just stopped for a second to make sure they did it correctly the first time.
The thought "I can't wait to get home to my plants!" just went through my mind. I am not sure if I should ask for people to send help or to send more plants. 🌱
Josh is currently washing the dishes. Which means he is also currently creating a hodge podge medley. We have gone from Pocahontas to the Grinch to a Hymn to Mulan. I only wish I was stealthy enough to get a video recording to share with you all.
Josh just asked me to "text or call when you're ready to pray before you fall asleep." I blatantly refused. I am not texting him from the one other room of our less than 700 square foot apartment.
Someone just said to me, and I quote, "I got a library card because of you." And I truly felt like my sphere of influence had reached a whole new level of importance.
You know you're known as the environmentalist/hippie/tree hugger at work when your coworkers seek you out in order to show you their reusable lunch box silverware #ReduceReuseRecycle#treehugger
Just overheard the clinical instructor going over essential oils with the nursing student: "...Frankincense is symbolic, it represents the time the 3 shepherds brought Frankincense as a gift..."
Huh, news to me.
My doctor asked me if there was a reason I had gained weight this last year and I was too tongue tied at the thought of defending my weight to my doctor to tell her it was because I've become a fantastic cook recently.
I just walked a mile home holding a potted basil plant. Not only did it make my walk smell fantastic, it also made me feel like a little kid walking around with a balloon. An expirence I would recommend.
Nothing like the good old 5 am adrenaline rush of hearing the final boarding call for your flight immediately after making it through airport security. #livingontheedge
If you are actually still purchasing plastic toothbrushes & toilet paper made from 100% trees, I implore you to reevaluate how sustainable your consumerism is. #earthday
