@burningbridge34 That is true. What I’m saying is that games shy away from doing interesting things with the camera now if it means relinquishing the control gamers feel entitled to. I think the average gamer doesn’t see the artistic value of deliberate gameplay tension caused by fixed camera
I feel like the elimination of fixed camera in video games stems from anti art sentiment that prioritizes smoothness of gameplay over art direction. Fixed camera can create such beautiful shots and evoke wonder that can’t be replicated with full camera control
if a trans woman lets her voice drop around you it means she loves you and feels safe around you, so if you turn around make fun of her for it you’re kinda trash.
While it’s quite a controversial topic, we believe that tank controls add to the intensity of the gameplay experience that defines the whole Resident Evil series.
We specifically kept them when reviving the original RE trilogy on our platform and adding it to the GOG Preservation Program, as we see them as part of the original experience and a necessary “friction” that ultimately adds to the masterpiece status of these classic titles.
And what’s your take? ;)
both sad and funny how compellingly ethereal the Fromsoft games’ storytelling style is just to end up having the redditest fanbase of all time and have it all be wikified and have ppl pretend they have to watch a YouTuber for the ultimate truth of the lore
i will never understand how transitioning is “lies” to these people. transitioning is one of the most honest thing you could do. its vulnerable, it’s revealing, it can be weird. and it’s beautiful
