I’m devastated. And I’m angry.

Four people stabbed in broad daylight on Bromley High Street, amid reports of people running around with machetes.

This is our city. These are the streets where we live, shop, work and raise our children.

And what makes me so angry is that those in charge keep telling Londoners that everything is fine. That London is safe. That somehow what we are seeing with our own eyes isn’t really happening.

It is happening.

People are frightened. Families are frightened. And every time we accept another horrific attack as just another day in London, we allow this to become normal.

I refuse to accept that.

My thoughts are with the victims and their families.
We deserve to feel safe in our city.
