@workingjubilee@H2CO3_iOS Yes definitely. As a designer, I'm always on the outlook of things to steal and adapt from OCaml and Haskell, for example, nested or-patterns. The NIH attitude is rather counter-productive.
@withoutboats Hmm; It's probably not exactly as direct as what you want, but `#[rustc_variance]` might be able to help https://t.co/6Q6Mw6qPMf -- Maybe we can tweak it to give you a "trace"
@chandlerc1024 Hi Chandler. Assuming you did try it, how was your experience with Rust and could you elaborate on "struggles"? Thanks (and for your many insightful talks!).
Such a revolting clip for so many reasons - not just the content but also how @ninaturner sat politely as Biden surrogate @hilaryr lectured her on Martin Luther King & then instantly interrupted Nina soon as she spoke.
How does this compare to emojis from random Twitter users?
@spacekookie That's probably true-adjacent, but I don't know if that's entirely true though. See e.g. https://t.co/PxkwdfihgL -- seems like it has some effect, even if minor?
@spacekookie Of course it won't, and of course EU/Frontex is pushing white supremacy, but see e.g. what Hospira did when under pressure from folks. We can still use divestment efforts and progressive MEPs can use their power. That isn't magic.
@sgrif @stev4niTy How do you figure Bernie lacks pragmatism given that he's "The amendment King", etc.? His supporters aren't any more toxic than anyone else. From my perspective, Bernie is the only candidate that as a not-insane foreign policy, unlike e.g. Biden and the rest.
@ekuber @mstk @robotlolita @pcwalton This is something I'd actually want to add to rustc via typed holes (with explicit syntax, or via errors) which we represent explicitly in MIR, and then we add a flag which allows you to get out a binary, e.g. `cargo run --defer-errors`.
Bernie Sanders killing it on foreign policy. What an answer.
"Occasionally it might be a good idea to be honest about American foreign policy," says Sanders, before going on to mention the coups and regime change wars carried out by the US around the world.

"My motto is from Nelson Mandela: Everything is impossible until it happens. If we have the guts to stand up to powerful interests, if we can bring working people together, we can create a nation where all people have a good standard of living." – @BernieSanders#DemDebate
As the guy who actually ended the Stop + Frisk policy + settled the lawsuit + sent Bloomberg’s police commissioner packing, let me answer that question: YES, stop and frisk was racist! And @MikeBloomberg stood by it til last year. If he weren’t running for Pres, no apology
Sanders once again asked how he'd pay for his proposals. The real question is how much America will save by adopting his proposals for Medicare for All, Green New Deal, and public investment. Savings far greater than costs.

Ever wonder if the audience at the #DemDebate might lean towards a particular candidate?
Seats at this one cost $1,750 to $3,200.
