@russ9641@josh__eich@Kevin_Kinkead Quansah makes the CHOICE to leave his feet and accidentally goes studs-up into the attacker. Strujik makes the CHOICE to make a sliding challenge from behind and accidentally severely injures Elliot. Where are you seeing Balogun make a CHOICE that could endanger his opponent?
@CrewFan96_@ProspectsUsmnt Right but the model of letting players develop into full professionals in MLS before selling them onto a club at their level still applies. If we sold Aidan to a prem team in 2022 he wouldn't be nearly the player he is today.
Panama's record vs Canada & Mexico in competitive matches since 2021 is 1W-1D-6L. It's 4W-1L vs the USMNT.
The USMNT's record vs Canada & Mexico over the same span is 7W-2L-2D.
I have my own opinions on why but I'm interested to hear what other people think.

@Dylan21104124 No way, but I would bet their price drops if this happens. Their price is probably so high because they don't currently have a better option at forward, but Roque would become the starter day 1
Fwiw, Palmeiras looks to be closing in on a deal for forward Vitor Roque. If this gets done, a deal for #Crew96 to acquire Flaco Lopez seems more likely. Worth paying attention to over the next week.
@Aaron4141410740 Our window is still open so we can sign from anywhere, the teams whose windows are closed just won't be able to sign a replacement. That's what severely limits the options available, they have to be good enough for us without being a crucial piece for their current club.
Could easily get this done for <$10m. River has replacements in house & would profit on a player with an expiring contract. Give him the Cucho sales pitch: face of the club, team built around him, will move him to Europe if the offer arrives.
Stylistically would fit Nancy ball. Would be more of a Ramirez improvement than a Cucho replacement, which I like bc there's no point trying to replace Cucho.
After the initial shock, I've come around on the Cucho move. The opportunity is too good to pass for him, and even though the fee is low, we still profit + hold the "sizeable" sell-on.
Putting faith in the FO. DP 10 now, DP 9 in the summer/next winter. Lets get it done #Crew96
I'm not sure I will ever understand the price-point of this transfer. They're letting him go for under his value on deadline day. I'm inclined to believe that he quietly requested a transfer to Europe, because it's nonsensical in any other scenario. #crew96
Sources: The deal for Cucho Hernandez to Real Betis is around $16 million (including add ons). Columbus Crew will retain a sell-on clause.
Transfer would be a new club-record sale. Crew obviously in market for new DP forward.
@WalkerTice@tombogert End of the day - they acquired 2 DP's with high floors who will both be ready to play on opening night for 12.5m and a dead asset. That's good business for a rebuilding team who wants to win now.
@WalkerTice@tombogert u22 slots are great ways to improve your roster and aquire players with resale value - AFTER you have your DP's set. You are only as good as your DP's in MLS. If you do a great job across the roster but don't get the right guys at DP, you get 2024 Charlotte.
