@srharris22@RivianTrackr Also still waiting on the first one. At least my blinkers turn off properly now that I've changed the privacy + location settings back to what they were before the update
@RivianTrackr@IamLeoBear No native YouTube Music while driving is definitely a miss IMHO. That's my streaming service of choice (because of large library + ability to upload). Any idea if they intend to fix this so that casting videos and streaming music are properly separated?
@TobyForTabs Awesome - thanks for such a great tool! Would really be nice to be able to "share" from Chrome to add URLs to Toby collections in the app.
As primitive as I find Go given it's lack of many useful modern language features, I'm increasingly appreciating it's philosophy of keeping things simple with minimal abstractions. It makes it way easier to reason about a codebase quickly.
Couldn't disagree more.
Can this work for small/ short-lived/ emerging projects? Sure. But for larger projects with many contributors, the motivation behind a change in behavior is important -- and tests are often not enough to explain.
After 20 years coding I just realised, commit messages are pointless.
Now I just run:

This definitely aligns with what I've seen from people on @TeamBlind too. It's sad to me that maintenance engineers can become such unsung heroes - especially since I've known some fantastic ones!
@Appyg99 Bad analogy IMHO - if you're auditioning you get to play something you know and have rehearsed, right? LC style interviews are more like showing up at your audition with a violin but being asked to play the drums.
@jsnover@bradwilson Congratulations - you leave behind an incredible legacy!
I'll never forget scrambling (in ~30 mins!) to prep a demo / technical deep dive for you on the DSC integration my team built at @puppetize - such exciting times back then!
TFW when you tell a friend and former colleague how impressed and motivated you are by their journey... only to find out that they were motivated by you so many years ago. Thanks for your perspective and for making my day @SQLSuperVillain!
Lots of interesting questions, but this feels incomplete without exploring solutions --

After 2 years it looks like @code will finally be fixing one of its most egregiously missing features. Well done - better late than never!
