@nettyjane5@BrowningMachine Yep. Destroys your day to day life and everything you do revolves around it. Surgery was the best option for me. Glad it worked out for you too.
@NovemberQueen32@BrowningMachine Absolutely. I read tons of stories leading up to the surgery and there were a fair share of people that regretted it, but lots of others like me that got their lives back. As you said tough to group such injuries and recoveries together.
@marifasuslupin1@BrowningMachine Canโt say Iโve done much research. My teammate had the exact same surgery a couple weeks later and he had a much longer road to recovery than I did. I was amazed how quickly I was back to normal but as you said thatโs just my case.
@BrowningMachine I had a microdiscectomy and hemilaminectomy on my L5/S1 and woke up from the surgery pain-free after two years of absolute hell. I was back playing full contact hockey 4 months later. I canโt speak for others but back surgery did wonders for me.
Led by Jaden Schwartz, a player from every @nhl team in ๐จ๐ฆ is asking individuals between 17-35 to join @CanadasLifeline stem cell registry.
Jadenโs sister Mandi passed away from Leukemia in 2011 after she was unable to find a matching stem cell donor. ๐ https://t.co/QhL7ZxdLuI
Great to see this finally air and Iโm extremely proud of everyone involved. Thank you @sportsnet for highlighting @hkygivesblood and Aliciaโs story!
In 2019, Alicia Souveny was in a terrible car accident. When the Edmonton hockey community heard of Aliciaโs condition, they were quick to help out.
This is the story of how @hkygivesblood was created to raise awareness for Canadian Blood Services.
