ETH Bari 2025♦️

Our first edition brought builders, students, and innovators together in the heart of Puglia.

Here’s a quick look back at what we built together!

We officially concluded this ETH Bari♦️"zero" edition.

It wasn’t easy to launch. My mission was to bring the highest ETH and blockchain quality content I could to the region where I’m from. Given the positive feedback we received, it feels like we nailed it.

During the ETH Bari conference, we touched on topics like DeFi, RWA, tokenization, stablecoins, institutions, Solidity, developer onboarding, security, privacy, digital euro, academic research, and more. All of these topics are super relevant in today’s ecosystem, and we brought speakers who work on them first-hand. We even had our first POAP celebrated by the POAP community.

Then, we held a 3-day workshop run by urbe.eth where every student learned the basics to develop a mini application on @base and @farcaster_xyz. @crypto_lippo_49 was just the best patiently going 1-by-1 through every single laptop's error. We’re now even looking at joining the ETH Rome Hackathon with an ETH Bari dev team delegation. Insane.

Beyond the number of attendees, what I’m most proud of is knowing that there were people coming from Foggia, Matera, Brindisi, taking a 2-hour train/car one way just to participate or even asking for a work day off to join (yes, next time we’ll do it over the weekend).

Puglia is such an untapped territory. With the presence of several universities and the desire to prove yourself given the local economic/work conditions, this mix creates an unique drive to learn and build that most other places don’t have. That’s the secret sauce for ETH Bari. And we’re going to make it flourish.

a few weeks ago I got accepted in @AvaxTeam1 , and that made me think about how avalanche gets serious even when it comes to a simple program to build community and accelerate growth

they don't just hire a bunch of devrels and evangelists to go out and talk at conferences

they literally spin off a new entity whose sole goal is to drive awareness to avalanche (goal of the foundation) and push their tech to developers (goal of ava labs)

this is next level execution from master @cryptochimba

so since i'm a member of that now, i'll drive more awareness for avalanche in italy

you may already have seen some indications of that at @NapulETH , @ethereumbari , but we have many more activations planned and in planning, thanks to the coordination of @mig_crypto

sometimes things just happen under the hood, and the effects are seen way further down the road

Today, we turned ideas into code.
Students learned how to “vibe code” their first full-stack dApp with Cursor, building, testing, and laughing along the way.

None of this would happen without @BuildOnBase, @OnlyDust_com and @ENS_DAO backing the next generation of builders.

From notebooks to shipping code… It’s happening in Bari.
