7 years ago today @etherwaifu launched as one of the first hand drawn generative art projects on Ethereum.

The waifu's will always be special to me because it was the first project I found and brought back to life with @capag777 and I know that the rediscovery positively impacted the lives of the artist behind the project.💚

The novel mechanism allowed owners of the NFTs to "craft" their waifu's together to reveal new combinations based on the rarity of the originals.

Six years ago, @etherwaifu launched one of the earliest experiments combining hand-drawn art with generative NFTs.

"Crafting" enabled users to mix two waifu to create a new randomized "child" based on the traits of the parent NFTs.

Launched on March 24, 2018, the project was rediscovered on April 5, 2021.
