Today, the Permanent Secretary and staff of the DEI met with a team from Transparency International Uganda in the DEI boardroom. The team briefed the DEI on how the CPI scoring is conducted, among other issues.
UPDATE: The Anti-Pornography Committee has warned that it may close entertainment venues accused of promoting pornographic acts. It is also considering banning several musicians over alleged indecent dressing and conduct. Speaking at the Media Centre, the committee chairperson, Dr Annette Kezaabu, said earlier warnings were ignored, prompting stricter action.
