@Empty_America I've hardly seen any parents handing off skills except when they literally transfer a business they own. Otherwise its too tenuous to reliably pass from generation
@gak_pdx SW/UI is very hard and Japan simply produces it at an average global (bad) level. US automakers are no better. Its a component in a product. Only SV really makes software as its own thing
@dialgatime321 The individual tasks at jobs are supposed to be within your competence level. The hard part is the ambiguity of how to progress in the real world
@vanillaopinions Blue collar is not terrible if you have some freedom on how to do your tasks, but anything like a factory where you just work mechanically for 8 hours is hell
