As we celebrate Nigeria’s 63rd Independence Day Anniversary, I choose to celebrate how far we have come, and I choose to be optimistic about where we, as a country and as a continent, will be in 7 years.
Cheers to finding a way!
Excited about the progress we are making in helping Africa achieve food security, sustainable and inclusive industrialization, and shared prosperity by 2030. With wins like this, we are a step closer to this reality

Young people in their 20s and 30s are grinding 80 hour work weeks, missing on life’s memories,

But all the old wealthy folks I work with wish they could be 20 or 30 again. 😂
In personal finance, we discuss disciplined spending, forced saving, frugality, the FIRE movement, investing strategies, asset classes, emergency funds & so forth.

A paradox of life is that the greatest returns come in the long-term, but the opportunity cost of moving slowly is huge.
Long-term thinking is not slow acting.
Act fast on things that compound. Never let a day pass without doing something that will benefit you in a decade.
The higher the growth
The bigger the opportunity
The better the management
The wider the moat
The better the economics
The lower the risk
The more you should be willing to pay
Someone reached out to me about what I have learned about leading tech teams in Africa. I wanted to do a thread on it but I don't have the energy anymore. I shared screenshots of my response below.
Things have changed from when I did it and this is how I see things now.
Happy Independence Day Nigeria
Let’s stand up for unity: the unity of spirit and purpose to reach for better results and outcomes as we face the years ahead.
